Her breathe caught in her throat as Colin looked deep into her eyes. He glanced slightly past her shoulder and caught sight of the crippling letters. "Your burning them." He breathed out, his voice almost trapped in his throat it was so quiet.

Swallowing saliva to try and make her throat less dry she took a step away from Colin, releasing that their feet were practically touching. She turned her back to him and walked further into the comforts of her bedroom. "Yeah" she whispered back, "i figured with you marrying Miss Thompson and with me marrying James, it was stupid for me to hold on to them."
Colin stepped into the bedroom and quietly closed the door behind him, shutting the two out of from the rest of the world.

"Stupid."
"Yeah, and disrespectful." Magnet said and she moved closer to the fire, "we both have significant others that aren't each other, we have to let go of whatever were feeling, or at least i do."

It was eerily quiet for a while after that, so quiet the only sound. Was the crackling of the fire, "do you love him?" Colin suddenly asked causing Margrets head to snap toward the Bridgerton boy.
"What-"
"Do you love him Maggie?" He asked again, his voice turning deeper and more husky. He took a step closer to her with every word, until their faces where inch's apart.

Margrets head was swimming and bashing with thoughts, he was to close, she couldn't think straight, all she could think about was how good he smelt. Without even processing Margret whispered out a 'no'.

Without hesitation Colin leaned in and softly pressed his lips against hers, his arms encircling her waist, bringing her closer to him. Her arms wrapping around his neck as his tongue gently passes her lips.
With a shortness of breathe the two parted and rested their foreheads against each other's.
"I love you Maggie." He whispered.

Tears began to well in Margrets eyes as she separates herself entirely from Colin and made her way toward the door once again.
"Well to bad your fiancée is downstairs." With that Margret made her way back to the ballroom, leaving Colin stood in the middle of her room regretting every decision he made this last week, all except that kiss, that was the only thing he did right.
