"Yuzu? I don't know. She doesn't want to talk to anyone and is staying indoors. Not sure for how long she plans to hide..." Matsuri said as her expression soften

"Have you gone to see her?" Lina asked
"No because I'm fucking grounded" Matsuri said
"Because you snuck out?" Lina asked
"Yeah. Mother wasn't happy nor was Nitski. They're literally so concerned about me because I'm a damn shitty Omega..." Matsuri said
"They are only looking out for you" Lina said
"But they don't have to treat me like I'm a weak Omega!" Matsuri said raising her voice and some students glanced over at the girl but Matsuri gave them a death glare
"...what?" Matsuri asked coldly making the students flinch and look away
"W-well I mean they're just worried" Lina said slightly nervous
"I understand their worries but...just because I'm an Omega doesn't mean they have to treat me differently. My secondary gender doesn't define who I am. I hate it..." Matsuri said and scratched on the collar she was wearing
"No worries. You have me if anything happens" Lina said
"Yeah...thanks" Matsuri said. The bell rang and Matsuri got up from her seat
"Seems like we won't be able to hang out" Lina said
"I'm still going with you guys" Matsuri said
"E-eh? But you're grounded" Lina said
"So?" Matsuri asked
"Matsuri, I don't want you to get into even more trouble" Lina said and Matsuri shrugged it off before walking away
"Matsuri!" Lina said as she got up and followed her
"Look Lina it's alright" Matsuri said

"Quit worrying about me..." Matsuri said and walked past a few Alphas who gave her a look. She noticed them and glared at them coldly as she walked by them

Matsuri gritted her teeth and Lina wrapped an arm around her waist. Her body jumped and Lina smiled at her
"Don't listen to them" Lina said and Matsuri punched her

"Who would want a small fry like me? Besides...Alphas are fucking disgusting and I hate them so much. I hate how they think so highly of themselves only because of great genetics. They seriously think they can get away with anything and claim any Omega. It's sickening..." Matsuri said
"...it's not rare for a Beta to be with an Omega you know?" Lina said and Matsuri paused before looking at her friend
"You don't plan on giving up huh?" Matsuri asked
"I can stay by your side and keep you away from Alphas" Lina said. Matsuri walked away from her and Lina felt her chest throb before reaching out to hold her hand. Matsuri pulled her hand away and trembled slightly
"No" Matsuri said
"You hate Alphas and you don't want to be with them. You suffer every month because of your heat. I can lend you a hand and help you when you're in-" Lina paused as Matsuri grabbed her and pinned her against the wall
"Quit it. It's none of your business. I've already told you no several times before and I won't be changing my mind" Matsuri said and released her. Lina blushed deeply and followed Matsuri from behind. Matsuri kept walking and gripped onto her bag tightly

"Hey Lina. Say that shit one more time and I'll kick your ass before leaving you for good" Matsuri said
"I will shut up about it but...at least give it a thought in the future. I really do...like you a lot and it's not because of your scent" Lina said. Matsuri kept walking towards the front door and met up with Maruta who was waiting for her
"Wow..." Matsuri said
"Hello Matsuri" Maruta said
"You don't need to pick me up" Matsuri said
"I can't ignore your cousin's orders" Maruta said and Matsuri sighed deeply
"Is it alright for me to eat with my friends at least?" Matsuri asked
"Hmm? Eating? But what about your mother?" Maruta asked
"It'll be between us okay?" Matsuri asked
"I'm not sure. Won't you get in trouble?" Maruta asked
"Hey, I will be with my friends. Lina and Furto are Betas. Asher and Sakira are mates. It'll be okay" Matsuri said and Maruta looked at her before looking away
"Okay" Maruta said as she smiled
