Blakes pov
It was nighttime and I was standing on the balcony outside of my father's office. The broken moon shines over the house. I stare at my father's door when I heard my mother's voice startling me.
"You know, you can always go in and say hi." Kali said carrying a tray with a tea set on it.
"I don't wanna bother him." I said
"A father's never too busy for his daughter." Kali said.
"Not all of my friends would agree with you on that." I said but my mother kisses me on the cheek and hands me the tray and I accept it, but was a bit taken aback by being handed it.
"Here." Kali said.
"What? Where are you going?" I asked.
"You've never been very talkative, but that boy you brought home loves to run his mouth and that human boy what was his name Y/n was it I like him because he likes my tea plus I want to hear more of the stories about his time in his galaxy." Kali said before walking away.
"Kali? Is that you, dear?" Ghira asked calling out from inside his office. I give a nervous start of surprise when I heard his voice while the tray shakes in my hands and I let out a quiet whine before I open the porch slide door and stepped inside to see my father who was straighten up some paperwork on his desk
"Uh, hey dad." I said
Ghira: Blake! Well, this is a pleasant surprise." Ghira said as I was about to speak.
"I..." I said
"Please, come sit." Ghira said as we both move to the oversized coffee table and lounge furniture as I set the tea set at the end where my father sits.
"Don't worry, I've got it. Sit down, sit down." Ghira said.
"I don't wanna keep you if you're—" I said but my father starts pouring the tea.
"Nonsense, I've been cooped up in here all day." Ghira said putting a cube of sugar in the cup nearest to me.
"You still take sugar, right?" Ghira asked.
"Oh, actually, uh- I was." I replied while he pulls back nervously.
"Oh! Sorry!" Ghira said apologizing. I thought to myself this was gonna be harder than I thought.
"No, no no no, it's fine." I said
"Oh, here, take this one." Ghira said taken the cup.
"No, really. It's, it's no big deal." I said
"You sure?" Ghira asked.
"Positive." I said
"Old habits, I suppose." Ghira said while I take a sip of my tea and winces with a tiny exclamation of pain.
