Long ago, in the land of Vigrid, war was on the horizon. The Vigridian Royal Army is at the forefront of the battle, fighting to protect their king. Indigo, a brave warrior, is captain of this legion and is the main focus of this tale....
Indigo, the legendary warrior of the kingdom of Vigrid, seen as a harbinger of death to her enemies, wields a grim-looking scythe that absorbs the life force of those it slays. She may be powerful, however she lacks armor to protect herself. She dons a skintight black and blue jumpsuit that allows quick movement while sacrificing physical protection. Despite often being seen as a fierce warrior on the battlefield, Indigo is seen by many as a beautiful young woman. With her pale, fair skin; beautiful green eyes; and her long, dark blonde hair; she's seen by many in the kingdom, male and female, as a skilled combatant and someone whom they wish to meet.
One day on the battlefield in these times of war, Indigo is seen fighting alongside her fellow soldiers, "Alright cover me!" She says to her partner as she slashes the enemy with her blade, ending his life instantly as the scythe becomes stronger from absorbing his life energy. Suddenly, just as his lifeless corpse falls to the ground, another enemy soldier manages to catch Indigo off guard, stabbing her in the stomach with his sword, the blade piercing right through her suit leaving a mark on her skin. Due to not having much protection, Indigo falls to the ground, wounded in battle. Her fellow soldiers quickly come to aid, carrying her to safety as others hold off the opposing forces. Her teammates bandage her wounds the best they can, but she is severely injured and many do not think she will survive.
Once the battle concludes, the soldiers decide to take Indigo to a lab deep in the forest. They venture through the dark, mysterious woods and eventually come across the laboratory. It is a hidden lab run by Indigo's close friend and colleague, Connor, and his assistant, Mira. Connor had always found Indigo rather attractive, yet she wanted nothing to do with him, at least in a romantic aspect. She saw him as more of a friend than a lover. He had asked her out in the past several times, but he always faced rejection. Connor was often seen as a pervert, keeping pictures of females he liked in his locker as well as his hidden computer files. He acted very strange around Indigo in particular, as he still had a crush on her. Because of this constant, perverted attention, Indigo had begun to dislike him and often tried to distance herself from him. For years even before she joined the royal guard she assisted him in the lab and often volunteered to help test his often very twisted and brutal experiments.
Connor had seen Indigo in her injured state, but instead of feeling pity for his friend, he liked seeing her suffering in pain. Mira, on the other hand, rushed over to help her and placed her on the examination table. Mira was rather skilled in the medical field, as well as being educated in witchcraft from a young age. She examined Indigo's wounds thoroughly. After a moment of thought, Mira goes over to a strange looking cabinet, decorated with pagan symbols of witchcraft. She chooses a healing ointment made from sage and lavender, and some crystals to help heal wounds and aid recovery. Mira uses the ointment on Indigo's wounds and they heal instantly. Indigo, who had been unconscious since the battle prior, finally wakes up. She sees Mira and realizes that she has been healed. "Thank you Mira, I am very grateful for your healing, I really thought I was dead", Indigo says. "Oh you're welcome dear, I'm always glad to help those who protect our land", Mira smiled and replied. Little did they know, Connor had been hiding, planning, he thought this, would finally be his chance. "That girl doesn't know what she's in for", he schemes. Connor pulls out a serum in a vile he had been hiding. The vile looks very peculiar, it appears to have a strange blue symbol on it.
About an hour later, Indigo gets up, now fully healed, and walks to another room in the lab. She then realizes that her precious weapon, her scythe, had vanished and she had not seen it since she was wounded. She sees Connor at his desk. "Hey Connor, have you seen my scythe?" She asks. "I'm afraid not my dear, I don't think those friends of yours brought it in." He replies. "But I could help you locate it." He offers. "You will? Thanks Connor" she responds. Connor says "Maybe they forgot it on the battlefield, we should check there." Indigo and Connor exit the lab and journey into the dark and mysterious woods outside.
It is a cold and windy night, the air is engulfed in a thick fog. The two continue to walk through the woods, Indigo leading the way. Connor, who follows close behind, watches Indigo in a very creepy way. "She's gorgeous, but she'll be even more beautiful once I'm done with her," he thinks. Indigo keeps going, completely unaware of the perverted man following her and what he is planning. "We should be close," she says to him. Connor replies, "Good, let's get this over with, I've got some research I need to finish." He begins to slowly approach Indigo, hiding in the cloak of darkness that are the trees and shrubs just off the path. Indigo turns around and notices Connor isn't there, "Hey, Connor, are you still there?" She asks. Connor gives no response. Suddenly, a dark figure leaps out of the shadows onto Indigo, pinning her to the ground. He leans over her and whispers, "Oh, I'm still here darling, and you will never leave my side again." He binds her hands and feet with a magical seal, covers her mouth with the same type of seal so she cannot scream, and he carries her back to the lab.
