The hatch to the cabin of the boat was unlocked and hauled open. Rose was standing in the entrance.

"What the hell are you doing Rose?" I yelled. "What are you going to do to me?"

"You'll see." Rose said with an evil smirk on her face. With that she pulled me out of the cabin and brought me to the edge of the boat. I could still see the island but it was far away. Rose had brought us into deep water. "No one will hear you on the island." Rose reminded me. "We're to far out for the that." I gulped. Would she try to drown me again? What the hell was she doing?

"What are you doing?" I asked again but to no avail. She didn't respond. "Rose! Please tell me!"

"I don't need to tell you anything." She hissed. She shoved me over the side.

"Help!" I managed to scream before I hit the water. When I popped up Rose threw something at me. Hard. The next thing I remembered I was lying on hard cool metal.

Back at school people were wondering where Rose was. I saw her ex-boyfriend Shawn in the corridors a couple times. We hadn't talked since that incident last year. Frankly, I didn't want to talk to him. School was going okay this year. This was my last year in high school and Aurora had started college in the next state over. I heard someone yell my name and turned to see Willow running up to me.

"It's nice not to have Rose breathing down our necks for once." She said when she reached me. I laughed.

"Yeah." I said. "I wonder how boarding school is for her."

"Hopefully terrible." Willow said. It was passing period and me and Willow had the next class together. It was nearing the end of the school day and everyone was hipped to get home.

When we reached class we were some of the first people arrived. Our teacher hadn't gotten there yet so the few people in the class were loud. Me and Willow took our usual seats in the back of the class and took out our stuff for the class.

When I got home I fully embraced the weekend by taking a nap. When I woke up my mom was calling for dinner. I hurried out of my room and to the dinning room. My mom had just finished setting the table.

"This looks good." I said, sitting down.

"Thank you." My mom said, smiling. "I hope you enjoy." Willow and Aurora sat down shortly after and we dug in.

"What are we doing this weekend?" Willow asked.

"I don't know." Mom said. "We might hang out with our family or we might not do anything. Who knows." She looked directly at me. "But no matter what we do, we'll have fun."

I gasped for air, water coughing up out of my mouth. My mom, Willow, and Aurora were leaning over me.

"What happened?" I coughed.

"You don't remember?" My mom asked, sounding worried.

"I remember Rose tried to kill me." I said. "How did you find me?"

"Grandpapa was on a walk down on the beach when he heard a faint shout and splash." Aurora told me. "He went to go tell us and found Massie first."

"What did Massie do?" I demanded. "Did she tell anyone else?"

"She told Grandpapa to tell the others and she ran to the boats." Willow said. "We all got to the boats and followed her to a boat where we found Rose standing it."

"Than we saw you." My mom said, looking like she was about to cry.

"It's okay mom." I said, grabbing her arm to comfort her. "I'm okay." My mom smiled.

"Good."
