THIRD PERSON
it was the first time they were gonna see eachother since the break up. avery didnt hate jaden, and thats what she hated. she still loved him. jaden loved avery still but with athena it was more of a rebound relationship. athena was just supposed to be a hookup, and then it turned into something more. he fucking hated himself for that.
as jaden was walking towards averys door he started running scenarios in his head. how was it gonna go? were they gonna fight? make up? he didnt fucking know. avery wanted to see him but she wanted to be able to kiss him, hug him and do everything that she used to do with him.
avery was in the kitchen getting water when she heard the knocking, and there was only one person it could be. she put her cup down then started walking towards the door.
she opened and there stood jaden with a box of stuff. she already knew what it was. "hey, um come in" avery told him as she moved to the side. jaden walked in, and took his shoes off. "um we can still on the couch if you want" avery said in a questioning tone. "oh yeah thats fine" jaden replied and started walking towards the couch, on the way there he placed the box on her counter. "avery, none of that was supposed to happen and i fucking mean that" jaden said as avery sat down. "i just need to understand why you did it" avery asked emphasizing the "why" "i dont know why and i wish i did" jaden told her in a soft tone. "what went wrong?" avery asked almost whispering. "nothing went wrong, i love you" jaden told avery while making eye contact "no you dont, you did but not anymore, you fell out of love with me-" the brunette said but jaden had cut her off. "no i never fell out of love with you, i dont know what the fuck i was thinking when that happened. i was out my fucking mind, i was drinking everyday, i was high all hours of the day, i just wasn't thinking properly but i wish i was cause i lost you, i dont love athena, i love you" he had explained "i love you too jaden but it doesnt change the fact that you hurt me, and im sorry you were going through all that, you shouldve come to me instead of leaving cause god how i wish you did that instead, cause that week without you was fucking hell, and now i have to go through life without you." avery let out a sigh at the end of her sentence, she had tears in her eyes. "you dont have to, we can still be friends? look i know i fucked up, i cant lose you as a friend cause before we started dating thats what we were. not even friends we were bestfriends, and i cant lose you like that too" jaden tried convincing her. "yeah i know we were, and i dont want to lose you either cause fuck you were a huge part of my life, we've known each other since we were 15, we've been through thick and thin, but right now i dont think i can still be friends with you and im sorry" avery was crying by the end of that. "well will we ever talk or be friends again?" jaden asked with a little bit of hope in his voice. "i dont know, i hope, i hope we can get over this cause i fucking love you so much, but its not healthy for me or for you if we still love eachother and we continue to be friends, we need space and we need to heal from this. maybe in the future we can give this a try again, we're still young, and if im being honest i dont think this is where our story ends, weither its just us being friends or in a relationship again" avery explained while wiping tears that had fell. "i get that, i dont think this is where it ends either" jaden had confessed. "oh yeah your stuff, ill go get it, its in my room, ill um be right back" avery said while standing up and walking towards her room.
jaden sat there. he knew what he had to do. he was gonna leave athena, he didnt love her like he loved avery, he had to prove that to her. he just didnt know when. he heard her coming back so he put his phone down.
"um theres your hoodies, shirts, cologne and gifts you got me in there, and a couple other clothes you left here" avery explained while giving the box to him. "you dont have to give the gifts back" jaden said with a hint of sadness. "yes i do, i'd love to keep them but i need to move on" avery explained. "in yours theres some shirts, jewelry, perfume, also some gifts you got me, and other clothes and makeup" jaden explained. "oh okay, thank you" she told him. "im gonna go now" jaden told her "oh yeah okay" she replied
jaden started walking towards the door and when he got there he put the box down and put his shoes on, jaden smiled at avery while standing up straight and walking out the door.
avery truly believed this isnt where their story ends, she just wanted jaden to be hers again.
