THE LARUSSOS. The LaRusso family of five lives in Encino, well-known in the community and residing in a large home. They also run a successful auto dealership.
Daniel and Amanda LaRusso have three children: Anthony, Esmeralda, and Samantha, with ages ranging from 13 to 16. One might think that being close in age would foster camaraderie among them, but that's far from the truth. Anthony is often absorbed in video games, Samantha is more interested in her social life and popularity, and Esme, while considered popular, distances herself from such labels.
Everything was fine until 2018. Esme was one to frequently clash with her father over issues like curfews and independence. Their conflicts remained unresolved, mostly because of their different personalities.
While Daniel is calm, Esme's aggressiveness often leads to heated arguments. Due to such aggression, Daniel has attempted to teach her anger management through karate, but she resisted.
Since she was young, Esme struggled with controlling her temper, often resorting to physical outbursts, whether against walls or people. This year, however, she found an outlet for her anger through a new approach to karate, taught by someone who truly understood her aggression.
It seemed like the perfect solution. Esme finally found someone who was just like her.
But that was the problem. Nothing in her life came without consequences. She got caught up in something that should have been resolved in the '80s and now had no way to stop it.
