So, there were some details I never managed to slip into certain chapters.
Here are some examples:
I mentioned dark elf Alberu tailing the heroes to save Cale in the last chapter, but never actually followed up with his POV or any flashbacks, so basically what happened was he followed them bc of guilt, and when he saw that Cale was found, he went back.
What would he even say if they discovered they were being followed by a half dark elf who looked similar to the Crown Prince? That would be awkward as hell, and it would possibly put his life in danger, so he decided to nope the fuck out of there.

Another thing I regret not adding was the reactions of the heroes when they saw the room Cale was held captive in, and how bloody the whole room was. How there were literal pools of blood underneath the stained chair, and how there were special 'tools' hanging on the walls and from the ceiling.
Ooh I'm just now realizing how angsty it would've been if they had found recordings of the torture sessions and watched them or if they somehow got leaked to the public.
I also really wanted to add how the heroes absolutely destroyed the bad guys but I'm not very good at writing fighting scenes with multiple people, so I ended up not including it.

The reactions of the Henituse family and the effect it had on Cale's reputation as a trash were also complicating to write, so they sadly didn't make it in.

Anyway, this book was fun to write.
I've written one last chapter full of extra tumblr-esque kidnapping tidbits for the TCF timeline as well in the next chapter.
