Jason blinks his eyes slowly as they are still heavy with sleep as he slowly sits up. He had been up late the night prior, binge-watching dance videos on Youtube. Percy and Annabeth's wedding was a month and half away and he wanted to be able to do partner dances with Leo. He reaches up and rubs his eyes as he yawns. He stretches out before grabbing his glasses from the bedside table. His mind slowly regains focus and registers soft music drifting through his small shared apartment with his boyfriend Leo.
The blond shoves his blanket away and tosses his legs over the side of the bed before standing on his feet. Nature beats his curious urge to go follow the music and so he instead follows his instincts to the restroom. By the time he emerges the song has changed. He pads lightly through the small hallway to the kitchen only to stop at the end of it as if entranced.
Leo was busy beating pancake mix in a bowl and moving his hips and feet side to side with the beat of the song. He pours a little bit over the skillet that was currently heated up on the stove.
Jason smiles fondly as hums and quietly murmured lyrics bounce against his eardrums. He leans against the edge of the wall by the hall.
"Practicing for Percy and Annabeth's wedding?" He teases Leo affectionately, who in response jumps slightly.
"Ay! Jay!" Leo complains. He wipes down some of the batter that splattered over the counter and backsplash. "You scared me, cabron!" He adds as he turns and pouts at Jason, hands on his hips.
Jason chuckles, having understood the insult. It was hard not to, knowing Leo for several years now and Reyna for most of his life. "I'm sorry." He says quietly and walks over to meet in a gentle kiss, holding his waist lightly.
Leo hums against his lips before letting his heels settle back on the floor as he pulls away. "Morning, mi cielo. I forgive you." He greets, rubbing circles over Jason's chest.
Jason sighs happily and smiles down at Leo. "Good morning, meus thesaurus." He replies and doesn't resist the urge to lean down and peck Leo's nose.
How's he so cute? So irresistible.
Leo blushes softly before using his hands on Jason's chest to distance himself slightly. "Anyway, I wasn't practicing, I don't need it. You on the other hand..." He trails off, staring up at Jason with mischievous eyes and a playful grin. He lets out a chuckle.
Jason flushes slightly and lifts a hand to cough into it. "Well, you're not wrong." He chokes out embarrassed.
Leo giggles. "C'mon, I'll teach you." He grabs one of Jason's hands and pulls him further into the kitchen. He skillfully guides it to his waist and grabs Jason's left with his right hand. Leo's left perches on top of Jason's shoulder. "So, this is like the most basic position. Okay, Jay?" He explains.
Jason nods as he quickly glances over the positioning again, wanting to observe and make note. "Yes, okay." He states his understanding.
Leo smiles at him in encouragement as Jason takes a breath. "You got this Superman." He says. He slowly inches closer to Jason, so their chests were closer together.
"So, I'm going to lead first. Just so you can get the hang of the pattern." Leo states. He waits for Jason to nod again before he slowly starts stepping back and to the side.
Jason is a bit slow to follow and then ends up crashing his toes with Leo's. "Sh—sorry." Jason mumbles, his cheeks reddening slightly.
Leo smirks up at him and leans up to give him a quick peck. "Maybe you should react faster?" He teasingly suggests to the taller male.
