It's Cold.

"It's started to get chilly out now right?" I nod fixing my scarf around my neck but struggling to do it right.
I hear Andy Chuckle. "You need help?" I sigh in defeat. "Yes..." he smiles and stand in front of me. I listen to the world around us. People walking by. Cars going down and up the streets. The now turning orange and red leaves. I've officially known Andy for about 2 months now. I wasn't expecting to know him longer then a week. But he always finds ways to prove me wrong even without trying.

I didn't realize how close he was until I snapped out my thoughts. He does this thing where he sticks his tongue out slightly when he's concentrating. I could see his features clearly. The two moles near his left eye. The way the sun brightens the corners his eyes. How his resting face is alway a soft smile. "You're staring." He says looking me in the eyes. I blink twice snapping out of my thoughts and looking away. "I have no idea what your talking about." He hums. "I think your pretty." I glare at him burying my face in my scarf slightly. He giggles. "C'mon we have a place to go to." I roll my eyes walking next to him. we were walking to the milkshake place. There were new flavors for the season. And for the winter their gonna be closed most of the time cause it's in the park and it's too cold for milkshakes. Fall is still a decent time to get some.
Andy sees a worker that we now know too well. "Maxwell!" I chuckle while Andy calls Max. Andy calls him Maxwell cause he likes his full name and reminds him of a dog's name. Max looks to us and rolls his eyes with a smile leaning his face against his hand.

"We'll if it isn't my favorite customers. Lemme guess you wanna try the new flavors while you still can?"
"You know us well Max." I say. He smiles "who picking today?"
I look at Andy and he looks at me. "You pick Max."
Max nods and walks away making the shakes. "we are so indecisive" I say to Andy who chuckles. "That we are. So to your place?"
I nod "yeah, I've got a new game for you to play while I read and probably distract you."
He hums in response. Me and Andy have been doing this thing recently.
Where we go over each other's place and hang out. He was the one to start this. He invited me over once and then I did the same in return. So now we go over each other's places to hang out in our rooms.

"What game is it?" I think of words to describe it.
"It's like a race game I guess. You got to get through all the obstacles and make it to the end without the other players messing you up."
"Is it multiple player?" I nod. "Do you wanna play together?" I always preferred watching Andy play. He was always so into the game. And it was funny to watch him rage and plop face first into a pillow cause he was grumpy. I shrug. "Sure. But I can't say I'll be good at it."
He chuckles softly. "It'll be fun." Max comes back handing us the milkshakes. "What are you two doing today?" I go into my wallet while Andy speaks.

"We're going to Marc's place to play a game he got. Well I'll probably be playing it more."
Max nods as I give him the money. "You guys gonna do anything else with your day?"
I shrug. "I'll time will tell I guess"
Max nods and waves us off. We say our goodbyes and we walk to Andy's car.

I sit in the passenger seat while Andy gets in the drivers seat.
I take a sip of my milkshake. It tasted like pumpkin?

"I didn't know Pumpkin milkshakes were a thing."
"Technically any form of food could be a milkshake. Like a burger" I gag from hearing that. "Ewww that would be gross. That's basically a burger and milk but... together."
Andy nods.

"Sounds gross. I would try it."
I laugh. "You're so gross! Why?"
"Cause! Don't knock it til you try it!" I roll my eyes as he starts the car.
I grab his phone and put on a song from his playlist. I let it play while I drink my milkshake and look through my phone.
Andy starts singing along to the songs that played so I started recording him and laughing when he messed up or went off tune.
