I wish the world ended on Friday so Saturday wouldn't come. A text popped up on my phone. It was from Tsukishima.

[Are we still going today?]

Great. I was hoping that he wouldn't remember. If he didn't remember, then I wouldn't have to go. It's not that I don't want to go. I do, but I'm not sure how to act. The last time I went grocery shopping with a friend was when I was 5 and my mom was babysitting Kira. I sighed and quickly typed out my response.

[Yea, don't be late (#`ε')]

[I'll try lol]

I checked my clock and saw that it was 9:45; so I had plenty of time to get ready. I took my time to take out my clothes and put them on. I'm not sure how people usually dress here; what I came up with was a white sweater with a black dress shirt underneath, paired with black shorts, white stockings, and black tennis shoes. To add some color, I put a pink My Melody clip in my hair. Was this okay? I did a quick twirl in front of my dollar store mirror, but it felt like something was missing. I remembered a game that I used to play that said even if it can only hold a cell phone, no outfit is complete without a bag. I rummaged through my closet and found a heart shaped crossbody bag that was the same color as my hairclip. Perfect. I smiled and looked at the time again. 11:01 already? I didn't think I took that long. I still had time though, so I could eat breakfast. I walked over to my kitchen, excited to eat, or at least I was until I realized what was in my pantry and fridge namely, nothing.

I sighed and slumped into a chair. Where did this chair even come from? I don't remember getting one.

I was checking my purse for at least the thousandth time when I heard the doorbell ring. I looked at the time; it was 12o'clock on the dot. Creepy.

"I'd say you looked cute if it wasn't for all that metal on your face." The blonde pointed around my face with a slight smugness in his posture.

"I know. It makes me look cool and alternative right?" I grinned, doing a small pose.

"If bulls are cool and alternative, sure. " He shrugs, backing up from the door so I can lock it. I took a moment to look at him. He was wearing a navy-blue sweatshirt that had a small green dinosaur embroidered in the corner with a white shirt underneath. He also had on jeans and some shoes that I never cared to look at.

"Don't get lost, you're so short that I might not be able to find you." He turned and began to walk away, not giving me time to catch up.

"Hey! Slow down a little!" I said, almost jogging to keep up with his pace. Every step he took was three for me.

"No, you should speed up." He said. I scoffed at him.

"Don't say that if you're going to slow down anyway." Now, the ratio of steps was 2:1, which was a much better pace for me.

"Do you have an IC card?" Tsukishima asked, not even sparing me a glance.

"No, what's that?" I've never been on a train before.

"Now that's no good, we should get you one before we get back." He gives me a disproving look, like I was a kid who just drew on the wall or something.

"Why would I need one? I don't see the importance of it." I fiddled with my bags strap after failing to find a place for my hands.

"Almost everything's in the neighboring town. This place isn't the biggest, you know?" He says it like it's obvious.

"The grocery store too?" I asked, not wanting to take the train every time I needed food.

"No, it's only like, two kilometers away."

"Oh, okay."

Most of the remainder of the walk was spent in comfortable silence, only broken occasionally by Tsukishima giving directions. When we arrived, I was already slightly tired from the walk there.

"Do you have a list?" He grabbed one of the handheld baskets.

"Yea, of course." I pulled a scrap of paper out of my bag and read the first thing on the list.

There were a lot of products and foods that I wasn't familiar with and a good number of things I couldn't read.

"If I didn't come with you, you'd look like a fool." Tsukishima said after an unsuccessful attempt at holding back a laugh. This had to be the tenth time I asked him to read something for me.

"I'm sure I'd do well enough." I said, putting a bag of rice into the basket.

"You wouldn't even know how to get here." He deadpanned at my statement.

"Okay, never mind. Thank you for helping this uncoordinated and illiterate bull." I checked the list one last time before starting to head to checkout. While we were in line, I noticed a stand with reusable grocery bags on it.

"Wait here, I'm gonna grab one of those." I trotted out and took a green mesh bag. Only ¥100, what a steal. I smiled to myself while returning to the line. What I didn't realize was who else was smiling as well.

"Why green?" He asked nonchalantly, looking at the bag.

"{Green is for groceries.}" For some reason, it made me happy to say that which led to me smiling like an idiot.

"I only understood {green}."

"Oh, sorry. Green is for groceries." I felt embarrassed until the cashier called us up.

"Your total is ¥5,090. Would you like a point card?"

"Yes, thank you." I paid for the groceries and went out of the store with Tsukishima.

"Do you want to drop the stuff off before we go to the train station?" He asked, pointing to the road we took to get here.

"Train... station? Ohhh! Yea, sure." I started in the direction he was pointing.

"This is fun." I broke the silence on the way back to my house.

"How is going to a grocery store fun?" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"It's new, and interesting. Things here look so different." I smiled again, I was smiling a lot today.

"Well, since we're going to get you a train card anyway, do you want to go and do something that's actually fun?" He loosely rubbed the nape of his neck and looked away a little.

"Yea, of course!" I said and, for what seemed like the millionth time today, I smiled.
