Chapter Thirteen

>> December 21st  2025 <<

I was sitting on the couch drinking hot coco with Casie watching E.L.F. I got a sharp pain in my stomach "fuck!" I breathed out "you okay?" she asked "yeah" I stood up to grab a cold pack going to the fridge I feel and hear water go down my leg, hitting the floor. "finally!" I said "what?!" Casie said "my water broke..oww. that wasn't two minutes was it?" "no that was like one" "grab the keys to my car you have to drive me" "are all the bags in the car?" "yeah".

I was got the epidural and 7 1/2 dilated. "hey babe!" Rook pretty much ran in the room "hi" he kissed me "hows the baby?" he sat on the bed touching my stomach "perfect should be here in a few hours" "who drove you?"  I pointed to Casie "oh I didn't see you" he said and sat down "cause i'm to tall i'm not at your eye level .

>> Two Hours Later <<

"alright Miss. Cappelletty you are ready to deliver!" the nurse said "okay sounds great!" I said. "Push on three! 1! 2! 3!" I grabbed JP's hand and pushed. "one more push!" I pushed then we heard a cry "oh my god! hi baby.." they laid her on my chest "dad you need to cut the cord" Rook walked away. They toke her to be cleaned, they brought her back and put her on my chest "she's so perfect" I looked up at Rook "yeah she is" he smiled. Rook toke his shirt off and held her skin to skin, standing up her bouncing around  "hey beautiful girl it's daddy" he said making her gurgle "did you here that?!" he looked at me and smiled "yeah" I smiled back "you like that sweetheart? I love you" he kissed her forehead. "please fill her birth certificate" the nurse handed me the paper I put mine and JP's name and last. Then hers.

Oakley May Cappelletty 

My dad and siblings came and the guys came too. I was breast feeding her then she finally fell asleep, Rook got in bed with me "she so tiny" he said running his hand over her head "5 pounds 7 oz". "Do you guys want her in here tonight?" She asked "please".

>> The Next Morning <<

I woke up to Oakley crying, I moved Rooks arm off me then sat up and picked her up "what's wrong my love?...oh that's what's wrong" I said feeling her diaper. I grabbed wipes and a diaper and changed her then getting back in bed feeding her. "baby! you have to wrap her I don't know how" he said scratching the back of his head "how many times do I have to show you?" I laughed and swaddled her. I put her in her going home clothes then put her in the car seat "you ready to go home sweet girl?". 

>> Rook's POV << 

I was sitting on the couch holding Oakley watching TV. Y/n came out of the kitchen from eating and said "do you think you could watch her while I go take a nap and a shower?" She asked rubbing her eyes "go for it" "K there's a bottle in the fridge" she kissed me and our daughters head. 10 minutes later she started crying "shh...shh Le-Le what's wrong?" I stood up rocking her she screamed "Jesus Christ how can you even do that? you hungry?" I heated up a bottle giving it to her "there you go babygirl " I kissed her head. As soon as the bottle was done I toke it from her she started crying again, I burped her making her throw up on my shirt "that's great". I laid her on the couch and toke my shirt off, I then changed her diaper "there's nothing else for me to do" I said in a baby voice I picked her up then called my mom
"hello" my mom said 
"hey Oakley won't stop crying I feed her I burped her I changed her diaper theres like nothing else to do"
"go in the diaper bag and give her a binky"
I dug in the bag finding it giving it to her it had her stop cry
"thank god".

I woke up walking down stairs I see Rook and Oakley asleep laying next to each other. I smiled and pulled my phone out taking a picture of them.
