Everyone was in the kitchen, laughing and singing along to a Christmas playlist playing through a speaker.

Ellie, Millie, and Louis were tasked with making the chai biscuits.

Louis was going to add the already melted butter to the flour when Ellie stopped him.

"What?" He asked, confused.

She shook her head, "We're mixing the dry ingredients in this bowl. The other one with the milk is for wet ingredients. "

Louis then looked at Millie with a slightly confused expression.

"Yeah, it will just make this dough right away, and that's not what we want. It will just make it harder," She explained.

The boy then thought about it, "That makes sense."

"Okay, well you and Ellie mix the wet ingredients and I'll do the dry," Millie smirked, looking at Andrew, who reciprocated the same smirk.

The Alwyn boy then thought of a wonderful idea, "Actually, Mills. I don't have an assistant."

"Oh! Would you like my help?" She said going along with it.

Andrew nodded, "Yes, thank you."

Millie looked at her two friends, "Happy baking."

The two then watched as she walked over to where Andrew was.

"Out of all the people I'm friends with, I never thought she'd be the one to leave me for my brother," Ellie playfully rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms.

Louis laughed at his friend's actions, "You sure? Cause there's Millie and then there's Millie."

"So she's doing this to get her way?" Ellie gasped looking at the two, "I didn't know she liked my brother."

"What! No! That's not it at all," He said shaking his head and pouring the butter into the milk.

She furrowed her eyebrows, "Then what is it?"

"Um...She's just messing with us. She also said she wants us to get more acquainted with each other. Because we were both her best friends at the time," Louis said quickly, hoping she didn't notice what seemed to be obvious to everyone.

Ellie looked confused, "But we are friends."

"Yeah, just more acquainted. Like best friends," He continued.

She laughed, "But I do consider you a best friend."

"I suppose that's good to know," Louis sighed with a smile. "Now I don't have to wonder if I'm intruding on a family tradition."

Ellie shook her head, "More the merrier. Our Thanksgivings have always been for family and friends. Aunt Blake and Uncle Ryan have been here many times. They try to come, but with their kids, it's kind of hard for them to travel. Then Aunt Gigi and Selena come every other year. Andrew and Victoria have always invited their friends, and so have I. Sadie and Noah came last year. It was their first time."

The two continued adding ingredients to their respective bowls.

"So what's next for Ellie Alwyn?" Louis asked, trying to continue the conversation.

She sighed, "A lot of auditions. One includes dance practices and the other...I'm still deciding. "

"Dance? I didn't know you could dance," He said, surprised.
