Delicate snowflakes fluttered down from the clouds. Freezing everything in sight. The ground is a frozen wonderland, and the freezing snow would nip at your skin. The world was white, a beautiful white, one that brightened children joy. A white that reflected any, and every source of light. Something ruined the beautiful tranquility. The sound of footsteps crunching into the snow.
Ruining the previous white blanket that covered the earth. Crimson drops stained the previously white snow. Forever staining it with the beautiful color. Labored breathing filled the area as the cold air nipped at the boy's skin. "Brother.." a soft voice spoke. The 'older' out of the two gripped onto his brother's body tighter. "It'll be okay.. hear me.. just stay awake!" He spoke. Quiet enthusiasm present in his voice. His cheeks were rosy, as the cold snow felt like it was burning his bare feet.
Most of the blood wasn't coming from the boy's brother. It was coming from him. It dripped down his cheek and body. Dripping bit by bit into the snow. Fuzzy black dots would obstruct the boy's vision. His steps would become wavered and uneven. His legs would tremble as the freezing air nipped his skin. "I promise.. just a little longer.." He muttered. Slowly approaching the large building. He could barely move his brother over to the door. “It’ll be okay… it’ll be okay” the boy muttered as every nerve in his body shrieked in pain.
Finally, as the boy approached the door, he moved to push it open. Just to miss the door entirely as it opened on its own. Falling through with his brother hoisted up on his back. He lied on the cold concrete floor. The cold froze him to the core, and he couldn't move any muscles in his body. No matter how hard he attempted. He heard voices, many voices. Some sounded concerned, others sounded panicked.
He didn't understand why… Well… It wasn't like he could hear their voices anymore. The voices sounded muffled. Words slurred into one another. He could process what anyone was saying any further, His body felt like it got even more icy than it previously was. Death creeped up his body. As he drifted into an icy slumber, he quietly forced out a whisper.
"Brother… I'm sorry"
