"Why does this keeps on happening again and again? We take two steps forward and come five steps back. I can't help but think this way. Was I not enough? Where did I go wrong?" All the last memories of people degrading him, his mate kissing someone else and people telling him he's not worth mating the prince, all the memories started a turmoil inside him.

"It's like whatever I do I'll never be good enough. After everything happening how can I believe in our love? I'm tired being the one he loves, being his fiancé, being his mate. It's all too tiring." Taehyung didn't realise but he kept on running far and far away forgetting that there are many people who want him dead.

"I walked quite far away. Now where the hell am I?"

"Hey boy, you're done for the night. Go home now." Said the man who Taehyung presumed was the owner of the small restaurant

"Okay thanks boss."

"Is that Damon?" The said boy looked at Taehyung's direction

"How's life going brother?" Damon asked while dangling his feet sitting at the rooftop.

"It's complicated Damon. I don't know what to do anymore. Anyways what about you? Where were you all this time?"

"Well when we ran away everyone scattered here and there. I'm yet to find my mates but I will soon my brothers are very strong I'm just happy there wasn't any casualty. If you ask how I ran away it was because of Yuta. He came to me selling these new potions he made which help in escaping in any situation and gave me a heavy discount. I thought why not bht they were very helpful." Damon smiled sweetly. (He's so innocent for this world😭)

"Yuta again? How does this guy predict the future?" Taehyung sighed.

"Brother" Damon softly called.

"How is Vanessa doing? Was she fine when I wasn't there? You know she is very meek and shy. In the past too I used to keep her from bullying, people bully her alot. She is that sweet kid always clinging to her older brothers and sister. She used to look upto you alot brother. She used to care about him too but unfortunately he wasn't able to live long. You and him were very close, doing everything together and whenever he used to whine about something you'll get that thing for him and protect him and same goes for him, he used to protect you too. Lord, I miss him. Oh you must be confused? I'm talking about our another brother. Though he wasn't very much sweet when he was angry and you used to make him calm and save us all. We were a loving family until that day came and changed everything."

"He still thinks she's the same Vanessa from the past. I should stay quiet."

"Which day?" Taehyung asked curiously

"Um brother, did something happen to you? You looked so down when I met you. You can talk about it to me, we are a family. I'm a big and mature man now." Damon told off

"But why what's t-" he stopped abruptly when he saw the whole squad being wrapped in separate white sheets.

"Our whole squad was massacred. They say it's a small gift. We can't find Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul sir, but the suspicions are that he was killed too as a ring was found near a pool of blood and his shirt pieces too."

Taehyung saw Momo sitting there looking at her ring on ring finger

"He gave me the promise ring and wore the same too. Promising to never leave me behind, promising to always walk with me. Liar, he lied. I'll kill all the vampires. I'll not leave any of the vampire." Momo said with venom laced voice. Jungkook came on the spot too
