- In Islam, dogs are said as 'unclean', but Muslims can still own one, but the dog can't go in to the house or lick it's owner

- Cats are regarded as clean animals

- The Prophet Muhammed used to allow cats to enter the Mosque or his home 

- It's okay if you like the same gender, but you cannot act upon it, like you can't ask them out or anything. 

- It is sunnah (something good that the prophet Muhammad has done) for the bride and groom at a Muslim marriage to feed each other dates. 

- Jewish people were respected by Muslims at the time of the Prophet Muhammad

- It is not preferred for a person to talk to their cousin of the opposite gender before marriage because their cousin is someone they could get married to.

- Islam is encouraged, not forced.

- Forced marriages are haram

- Arranged marriages for both the bride and groom consenting is allowed

- Love marriages is allowed as well

- Makeup is haram for men, but there is something called 'kohl' which is similar to eyeliner, but men can wear it as well.

- Wearing a kind of perfume called 'atar' on a Friday for men is a sunnah.

- A Muslim is required to save up a certain amount of money at least once in his or her life.

 - This is called Nisab. 

- When saving up Nisab money, you can use the money to pay off any debts or anything like that.

- The Nisab money can either lower or go higher throughout a year, but it cannot reach zero.

- A year after that, on the same day you saved up your Nisab money, you are to divide it in a certain amount and donate one part of it to charity, or in other words, Zakah.
