I glanced at the clock. It was time for me to meet Josh. Trembling slightly, I walked up to the teacher and asked if I could use the bathroom.
"Of course Wyatt, go ahead," she said, smiling.

Reluctantly, I headed to the bathroom. Turning the corner, I saw Josh leaning against the wall. He looked up, spotting me. He smirked.
"So you did what you were told, I'm impressed." He said.

"What do you want with me?" I asked, afraid.
He slammed my back into the wall and got in my face, "To tell you to stay away from Jeremy."

"But he talked to me," I said.

"I don't care. Stay away from him," he said.

"Why? Do you like him?" I asked, pissed.

I didn't even see it coming. One second, I was looking at him. The next I was looking away, cheek stinging. I cried out in pain.
"Watch your mouth," Josh snarled.

Angrily, I shoved him away. "Who do you think you are to tell me what to do?" I snapped, "You do not own me, and you can't tell me what to do."

Josh pulled his hand back and punched me in the face. I put up my arms, trying but failing to block the blow. I fell to the ground. He punched me and kicked me over and over. One of the kicks connected with my lip, splitting it open. Another connected with my ribs. He kept kicking me. Suddenly, I felt more than heard a snap. I screamed in pain and held my side. I curled into a ball, trying to protect myself.

Suddenly, I heard someone running down the hall.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!"

It was Jeremy. He pulled Josh back and punched him in the face.
"Leave her alone!" He snarled. Jeremy shoved Josh away. Josh backed away and walked off, laughing, "This isn't over, Wyatt. Remember what I said."

Jeremy knelt down and touched my shoulder. I flinched away.
"Are you ok?" He asked, worried.

Suddenly, all the anger I was holding in came out.

"NO, I'M NOT OK! YOUR FRIENDS BEAT ME UP EVERYDAY BECAUSE IM DIFFERENT! AND HERE YOU ARE, ACTNG LIKE YOU NEVER WERE A PART OF THE BULLYING," I screamed, "You are such a fucking asshole. Do you really think just apologizing will make it all go away?! Fuck you Jeremy. You aren't a knight in shinning armor." I wiped the blood from my nose just to have fresh blood replace it.

He blinked, stunned into silence. I glared at him, waiting for an answer.

"Didn't think so," I growled. I struggled to get up and collapsed. My rib was broken and now I needed help.

I looked at him. "Well, are you gonna get a teacher or are you just going to stand there like an idiot?"

Jeremy scrambled to his feet and ran to get a teacher.
