The Window

Chapter 1

(Emily on the side/Top) ------ It was August 4th, 2078. It was a wonderful morning, and a young girl, Emily Fields, was eating breakfast. Emily was getting herself ready to go the market to get some food for Nixertion. Nixerion was Emily's Familiar. Nixerion had a Pastel Violet and a Glossy white as his fur. He had deep black eyes that stare into your soul. Emily went into the bathroom to brush her long crimson colored hair. She felt like she was forgetting something important, and then-

"Nix!" She called out suddenly. In a flash, her Familiar was at her side.

"What?" He meowed in her head, annoyed. " I was doing something, you know. How dare you interrupt me, puny human. Bow down and beg for forgiveness."

Emily sighed. It had only been 3 days since they were deemed bonded together. She honestly didn't remember a day worse than that day.

/Three days ago/

It was finally here. The day Emily got her Familiar. She had waited patiently for this day. Her Auntie, Katie Sky, came over to congratulate her. " Oh, Emily!" Katie squealed. "Its your special day! Your finally getting your companion! Oh, what if its a Fierce tiger? or a loyal wolf? Or a dragon, even!" Dragons were an extremely rare Familiar. There hasn't been one for decades. Emily was sure she wouldn't get one. She was only a 17 year old girl, after all. But she there was a spark of hope within her."Let us go to the town square!" Katie announced. Emily took one last glance in the mirror, and examined herself. She was wearing a White sundress with a bow the color of her hair. The dress went just under her knees, and she had on short tights underneath. She was wearing Red flats, and had her hair in waves gently flowing down her back. " Emily! Lets go!" Katie called to her niece. Emily took one last look at herself, and went on her way to the town square with her Aunt.
