Chapter 1: A New Neighbor

Alex's POV 

It was a cold and windy day, like any other day in December, the snow was falling. But of course I decided to stay inside, to get my gains "GRAHHHH" I was so glad I wasn't at a planet fitness. I glanced out my window and saw people carrying boxes up to the hill. Oh yeah, there's a new family moving in, I should probably say hi. I hastily got on my big puffy jacket and rushed out the door.

"Alex! Where are you going?" I heard my grandma say while feeding my grandpa his soup.

"I'm uh just going out!" Before she could say anything else I ran out the door and climbed up the steps, eventually I was at the place they had moved into. I could see the moving van was almost empty, and was excited to meet the family that just moved in. 

"Hello?" I knocked on the door, I heard someone rushing over to the door, and suddenly a person appeared and opened for me.

"Hello, my name is Demetrius, we just moved in. It's nice to meet you...?" He said, it took me a while to understand that he was asking for my name.

"Ah yes, my name is Alex, sir." I awkwardly said, he laughed and said it was ok to come in. I walked into the house full of boxes, and saw that one was open on the basement stairs. I was curious too I walked down there to see what was in the box. 

"Just what do you think you're doing." I felt a displeasing aura from behind me, I jumped and turned over to see... an emo guy? 

"I uh, I was just wondering what was in that box." I stammered as I backed off, he scowled at me and walked into what I presume is his room. What a piece of work. He took the box, but something fell out of it, I don't think I'm nosy but.. I just had to see what it was. I leaned over and grabbed a book, I didn't understand what I was seeing.

"Dark Love??" I cried, what is this?! I decided I had to run away, before he heard me. I bolted out the door, hiding the book in my jacket, im so confused. But I know that this can be something really funny. I got back to my house and went through the door.

"Welcome back Alex, did you go see the new neighbors?" My granny asked, yes I had, and it had been the most terrifying experience. 

"Yeah i did, thanks for asking, but I kinda feel tired so I'm gonna go take a nap." I sighed, that new boy seems to have a screw loose. I closed my door and took off my jacket, well, I can't go back on this. I have to read this now. I flipped through the pages and realized quickly just what kind of story this is "IS THIS GAY?!?!" I whispered under my breath. 

I have to be a man, I read the first page and it was already making me want to die, from how one second they hated eachother and the other second they're getting it on. What is going on?!?! I don't know why I read that whole thing, I can't even recall what it was about. The story wasn't made clear, only their dicks. 

"Am.. am i gay for reading this??" I muttered, not really thinking. 

"Are you gay for reading what, Alex?" I heard Sam say as he closed the door, aw shit! 

"UHHHH WHY ARE YOU HERE SAM?! IM IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING!" I frantically hid the book under my bed.

"Are you in the middle of a gay crisis or something? Weird how you said that just as I came in the room.. are you perhaps.. enchanted by my beautiful face.?" He boasted, i can't believe this guy.

"No, Sam, I'm not quote on quote enchanted by your features." I hissed at him, this isn't the time dude.

"You didnt say I was ugly did you??" He sat down on my bed and I guess I have too much shit under my bed because he saw the book, not all of it though.

"Hey dude, is that what they call manga? Are you a  dweeb?" He chucked a bit, but I didn't feel very happy about it, I can't let him know. THIS ISNT MINE! 

"Uhhhh, forget about that, it's nothing." I said as I snatched the book and hid it in between my bed and the bed frame.

"Dude, just let me see it." Sam leaped over to where I put it and grabbed it, oh shit, I can't him see that cover! 

"Dude, no, you dont know what you're doing!" I tackled him and grabbed the book, but he fought back and hissed at me.

"I THINK I SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOURE READING! IT DOESNT MATTER IF ITS LIKE WEIRD!" He yelled in my ear, I didn't care though, I need to return this to that guy! After a while I felt like something was wrong, because I heard a rip, oh shit. It turns out that the book ripped in half because of my brute strength.

"This is all your fault." I said to Sam, he looked like he had no regrets. But now he knew what it was, it was right in front of him.

"Dude, are you gay?" He said while his eyes widened.

"Im not, I got it from the new kid, I swear!" I wanted to die, I can't believe this.

"But dude, why would you accept it?!" Sam questioned, maybe I am gay.

"I didnt accept it, it just fell out of the box that's all, I'm just nosy so I stole it." Sams face was disappointed in me, either because he was sad I didn't tell him, or the most likely because I stole it. 

"Dudddeeeeee, we need to get another copy, we can't just ruin his stuff after you stole it!" Sam sternly said, well I mean I guess he's right, I did steal it after all. I can't just give it to him after this happened.

"But where are we gonna get another copy?" I cried, I couldn't believe my stupidity brought me here.

"Dude we can just get it on Amazon." Sam got on his phone and started searching.

"But we have to get the story now! I have to return it to him at least by tomorrow, or he'll wonder where it's gone!" I frantically got up and paced my room, we aren't find that at Barnes and nobles.

"Calm down, there's plenty of gay stuff at Barnes and nobles." He got up and put his jacket back on "Let's go." I nodded and followed him to the bus. We sat down contemplating why we got in this situation, but soon enough we were in Barnes and nobles in the gay section. 

"Who likes this stuff?" I questioned looking through the books, until I saw people staring at us and whispering. 

"Oh man, this is gonna ruin my reputation" i muttered looking away from the cute girl staring at me weirdly. 

"Stop complaining Alex, we're here to get the stupid book, so we better get it." I sighed and looked through the books until I found a particular book I remember.

"DICK FIGHT ISLAND!" I whispered, I couldn't believe it, I remember I got this in middle school as a joke, 

"Oh yeah dick fight island, yeah I remember that. That shit was funny." I think I still have it in my room, stored somewhere to never see the light of day. But eventually we found the book we were looking for. But I sensed something was wrong, I glanced around us and I saw a bunch of people surrounding us.

"Who do you think the top?", "I think the blonde one looks like the seme" i heard the weird people saying, what are they talking about, Ikemen? Top and bottom? "They're so cute together! They're my otp!" I knew who these people were, BL FANS! THEY HAD TAKEN US AS THEIR VICTIM.!

"WE HAVE TO GO SAM!" This is bad, now they think that we're gay or something! Which isn't bad but it's bad to think we're dating eachother! We ran through the book collums until we lost them.
