(Chapter warnings: violence, death, injury )
Techno gave the signal and everyone threw their bags on and started to walk, leaving behind the safe and beginning a new challenge.

As the group traveled, Tommy couldn't help but marvel at the exquisite views.
By day they traveled through snowy mountains, thick forests, rocky hillsides or flowered plains; each different place bringing new memories.
By night they rested under the millions of stars that glittered in the sky.
———
Tommy lay on the soft grass one evening as the group rested, they had been walking for days on end and Tommy's legs hurt all the way to the bone.
Suddenly Foolish appeared silently next to him, startling Tommy.
"Enjoying the stars?"
Foolish asked warmly.
"More like resting my poor legs"
Tommy grumbled but still managed a tired smile, Foolish laughed heartily.
"I remember watching the starlight eclipse here" he reminisced.
"A once-in-a-lifetime event; although, I've seen it quite a few times in this long existence of mine."
Foolish murmured, a slightly sad tone colouring his voice.
Tommy looked over.
"Do you ever wish you were a mortal Foolish?" Tommy asked softly to which Foolish nodded.
"Yes, it is quite lonely as you would imagine. Some of us are lucky enough to find friends or lovers but even those don't always last for long."
He said somberly as he gazed intently at the stars.
———
Suddenly Tommy heard a clang.
Philza's friend Sam had lent Wilbur the golden trident he always carried and was attempting to teach Wilbur how to use it, without much success.
Tommy jumped up and was about to run towards them when he turned back to Foolish who was still watching the stars.
"Will you be okay here alone, Foolish?" Tommy asked.
"Yes, I will be okay here Tommy. The stars are my friends." Foolish replied.
Tommy laughed "you sound like Tubbo." He blurted with a grin. Foolish chuckled before encouraging Tommy to go join his friends.
And so, Tommy left the gold god, alone and at peace with the stars.
———
As the friends began to travel closer to nightmare castle Techno began to send Phil on scouting trips in his crow form.
Whenever Philza went out Tommy couldn't help but worry, both for Phil and for his friends.
Were they too late?
Tommy desperately hoped not.
———
They traveled for a few days with Philza scouting until one day Phil returned with news.
———
Tommy was talking to Niki at the makeshift campsite with most of the other travelers, they all chatted happily as birds chirped in the thick trees around them.
