luke skipped down the stairs and into the kitchen to find his mum swaying her hips and humming along cheerily to something on the radio. she spun round producing a huge plate of breakfast for luke - the salty smell of bacon clinging to the insides of his nose. he bit into a plump cherry tomato feeling it burst in his mouth allowing all the juices to seep out and buzz on his tastebuds.

luke loved his mum. she was the most important person in his life and he never hesitated to write 'mum' on an orange post-it - even though there were at least 70 others the exact same.
