Octoling Outcasts

Ch. 1

I'm getting ready for my first day at Inkopolis High. I'm a little nervous because what happens if we do something with water and the others find out that water does not affect me? Hopefully it will not come to that.

I grab a blue and white dress from my closet to make a good impression on my first day at school. I would usually wear my blue fishfry biscuit bandana, my blue hoodie, and my punk blacks, but today is the first day of school so I want to make a good impression.

I put on some flip flops, and my bag and I walk outside onto the street. "Hey be careful." I hear someone say. I look over to my left and I saw a car coming. Before I could react I felt someone's hand grab my arm and pulls me out of the way. 

"Are you okay?" An octoling girl asks me. Her tentacles were a mixture between white and light purple, she has blue eyes, and she's wearing a white crop top, shorts, and blue fishfry biscuit bandana, and her shoes were like the red hi-horses but blue instead of red. And for some reason she was holding a splatterscope. 

"Um yeah. I think so, thanks to you." I say to her. She grabs my hand and begins walking across the street with a car coming. "Um what are you doing." I ask her in complete fear. "It's fine trust me." She says to me. How in the world can I trust her right when I just met her? I don't even know her name! I look at the car coming straight at me. 'Well I'm doom.'  I thought in my head as I watch the car come closer. We kept walking and somehow the car that was trying to stop went right behind me.

We made it to the other side and I am in complete shock. I should have died by how fast that car was going. It would not be able to stop, but somehow right when me and the car was right beside each other, it was then behind me. "Talk about luck." I say looking across the road. "Yeah I get that a lot." The strange octoling girl says. 

 "Well I have to head to Inkopolis High." She says walking off. "That's where I'm heading." I say following her. "For real?" She questions with excitement in her voice. All I could do was nod. "Great! I'm Clover by the way." Clover says stretching out her arm to shake mine. "Lyric." I say shaking her hand. 

We walk together all the way to Inkopolis High. When we went inside an octoling girl with light purple tentacles and silver eyes came running up to us. "Clover you were supposed to put your splatterscope in the weapon storage room before school ended." The octoling girl says. Her tentacles were in a weird style that I haven't seen before, She's wearing a Panda Kung-Fu Zip-Up, shorts, and she's  wearing Old-Timey Shoes. She was a little shorter then Clover was.

"Sorry Ninava. I'll do it later." Clover says sighing a little. "You're lucky I'm not one of the teachers." Ninava says joking around. Both Clover and Ninava laugh at the joke Ninava made, which I did not get. Was that what Clover meant by 'she gets that a lot'? Is she just a little clumsy? "Anyways who's this." Ninava asks, looking at me with a smile on her face. "This is Lyric." Clover says for me. "Oh! You're the new girl aren't you?" She asks me sounding excited. "Yeah." I say nodding with a smile. "Well as you already have heard, I'm Ninava. She says smiling at me.

Hi everyone so I hope y'all like the story so far. I'll try to update this story as much as possible. Sorry for the short chapter, I'll try to make them longer in the future. Also before y'all ask yes there is a place called Ninava but it is spelled Nineveh. Also I tried to describe Clover's tentacles best as possible because to be honest I actually don't know what color her hair is because it does look like a mixture of some colors so I tried to describe it best as possible. Also the art in this book does not belong to me, they belong to their owners. I just saw the art and that's what inspired me to do this book. Have a great day/night and stay safe!
