Okay, so I'm writing this entire chapter on late Wednesday night, so this chapter may or may not be up by like Friday or something idk. But, If that does happen, I truly apologize. I am super busy and I don't have time!

***(Hermione's POV in 3rd Person)***

The summer slowly passed by. Draco and Hermione basically ignored each other, but occasionally nodded in a civil manner. Since Blaise had visited, Draco tried his best to not get mad at Hermione, which was easy because the only time they really saw each other was when they woke up, went to sleep, and at mealtimes.

Now it was the first day of Hogwarts. The September air was fresh as Draco and Hermione apparated to Platform 9 3/4. Neither of them were made Head Girl or Head Boy, due to the fact that Hermione was not present the previous year and Draco was an alleged Death Eater, even though he told Hermione that he was never one. Since they both had their apparition license, the young couple found it unnecessary to take the long way to the Station when they could appear in the blink of an eye.

Hermione, upon arriving, strode past Draco and walked up to Ginny, Harry, Ron, and Luna talking. She didn't see Mrs. Weasley, and assumed that the woman had probably granted them permission to go to the station alone.

"Hello!" Hermione said enthusiastically to her friends. She had seen them once briefly over the summer, so she was dying to find out what was new.

"Whoa, Hermione! You look...stunning!" Ginny said, gaping at her friend.

"It was the soap," Hermione said earnestly. "My bathroom has this expensive soap that does wonders. It also smells simply amazing. I have some in my trunk."

"So, Hermione...what's up with you?" Harry asked his friend, as Ron and Luna politely made some small talk.

"Nothing much." Hermione promised.

Suddenly, students started walking to the Hogwarts Express, entering the train. Parents began to bid their children goodbye, waving at them from the platform.

Hermione walked on board, searching for Draco's face to make sure that he had gotten on board. She spotted him with his group of friends, talking excitedly. About Quidditch, probably.

Hermione and her friends found an empty carriage, and walked in, plopping down on one of the seats.

As the train started and started pulling away from the station, there was a lot of noise as frantic students said goodbye to their parents for the last time. Then, the train started going full speed, and Hermione settled into her seat.

The daylight soon faded away, and darkness was arriving as the train pulled up to Hogwarts. The first years gaped at the magnificent school as the train slowly halted to a stop. Streams of students flooded out of the train.

Hermione walked out with her small group, clutching her trunk.

"You guys go ahead. I have to double check that something is in my trunk." Hermione said as she stopped. Harry and Ron nodded and kept walking towards the castle.

Hermione frantically searched for her Charms book, afraid that it was left in her library. She found it under her other textbooks, sighed in relief, and began to close her trunk again.

"Can I help you? A lady like you shouldn't have to hold a trunk." A voice from behind Hermione cooed.

"I'm fine, thank you." Hermione said briskly, starting to walk again.

"Are you sure? Because I could help you. In other ways, too, if you would like." the boy said seductively.

"I'm fine." Hermione said firmly, and continued walking. But the boy caught up to her. He was wearing a Ravenclaw tie, and looked to be about Hermione's age. He was probably in her year.

The boy caught her wrist. "I'm right here if-"

Hermione jerked her hand away, interrupting him. She decided to ignore him, and kept walking, this time faster.

"Come on, now don't be like tha-"

"Stop harassing my wife, thank you very much." Hermione heard the cool voice of Draco, and she stopped walking. So did the boy beside her.

"Who? Her? She's not your wife, you Slytherin idiot. She's Hermione Granger." The Ravenclaw said, looking at Draco as if he was stupid.

"Oh. It's you. Xavier Hystand." Draco sneered. "The low class player of Ravenclaw. And for the record, she is my wife, and I would appreciate if you would get off of her."

"I'll get you, mark my words." Xavier growled.

Slinking away, Xavier left, rolling his eyes.

"Doing this for Blaise." Draco muttered as he walked past Hermione.

Hermione understood. Draco had told her of the promise he made Blaise to be nice. She'd decided that if he was going to be nice, she was, too.

"Thank you." She murmured to no one, since Draco had already left. She entered the huge castle and made her way to the Great Hall for the feast.

As she took her seat at the Gryffindor table as the sorting began.

Hermione caught Draco eye and nodded as food appeared on the table.
