***(Hermione's POV in 3rd person)***

Hermione had to admit: She had been trying to avoid Draco as much as possible to avoid any awkwardness simmering from the Potions class a few weeks ago, with the Amortentia.

But it wasn't hard to stay out of Draco's reach, though. Hermione was busy, constantly over-studying for everything like usual.

As Hermione was locked away in the Girl's Dormitories after classes pouring over a textbook or essay, tons of Quidditch players were on the field, heavily practicing for their upcoming matches. Hermione didn't mind that she was missing out on the drama on the field, as she would rather be reading or rewriting her notes. And, as a result of the tremendous amount of practice on the Quidditch pitch, Harry and Ron would stumble into the Common Room every night, covered in miniscule cuts and bruises, sweaty, and thoroughly exhausted.

So late one night, around 11, when Hermione was sitting in the Common Room reading an Ancient Runes textbook, Ron and Harry grudgingly walked in, and Hermione had to ask them a question.

"Why do you play so much Quidditch? N.E.W.T.S. are coming up at the end of this year, studying should be your top priority."

"Mione..." Harry said, exasperated. "We love Quidditch, and I'm not going to worry about N.E.W.T.S. until later."

Hermione shook her head sadly. He was setting himself up for failure.

"I'd rather be playing Quidditch right now, anyways." Ron butted in.

Rolling her eyes, Hermione bid the tired boys goodnight and made her way to the Girl's Dormitories, her book clutched tightly to her chest.

She sat down on her soft bed, and curled up underneath the sheets. Using her wand and a simple spell- Lumos - ,Hermione started to read again under her sheets, making sure not to wake up the other sleeping girls by the crinkling of the pages.

Hermione fell asleep, her head rested on her open book.

"Hermione! It's Saturday! We have a full weekend of doing nothing school-related! Oh, I'm so excited!"

Hermione was shaken awake by Ginny, who was hopping delightfully on her bed.

"Mmm... I think I might practice Charms this weekend." Hermione said, her voice still hazy from sleep. This sentence, though, made Ginny stop in her happy dance as Hermione sat upright.

"What?! No! You are not going to STUDY this weekend. And I swear on my family's red hair that you are not going to do anything of the sort!"

Hermione groaned. There was no stopping Ginny when she got like that.

"And it's the beginning of NOVEMBER. You should be outside, not studying for your N.E.W.T.S, which I may add, are at the end of MAY. You still have like, 6.5 months to prepare, so relax." Ginny added.

"Whatever." Hermione rolled out of bed.

"Good. Now go get ready for breakfast. I'll meet you in the Great Hall." Ginny promptly walked out, her hips swaying.

Hermione groggily got ready for the day. She then walked down to the Great Hall.

"Good Morning, Hermione!" said Harry with a smile, picking up a hash brown from the table and putting it on his plate.

"Morning." Hermione mumbled, taking her place on her house table.

"Hey, Harry, did you hear? The Quidditch pitch is open to any team that gets there first! We should get there right away!" Ron said, running up to the Gryffindor table in a hurry."
