As the World Caves in, Know That You'll Always Have Us
Chapter One: Comfortable Panic
At 26, Anne Boonchuy, Marcy Wu, and Sasha Waybright are living together as a polyamorous relationship and have a normal day to their standards. They're getting ready for bed when Marcy turns on the news, just out of curiosity. Classic Marcy. The other two finish getting ready for bed and join in, watching the news talk about some weird car crash that was on the roads near them. Marcy makes a joke about being glad they won't have to work tomorrow because of their anniversary, and they all laugh, but then the channel glitches and changes to a black screen that's flickering 'Emergency Broadcast' over it. And suddenly, the most shocking news of their lives, and that's impressive, is told to them through a panicky woman sitting at a desk. The world was going to end at approximately 10:34pm the next day.
Chapter Two: The 5th stage of grief is now the 1st
They all immediately get up from the couch and look at each other, not saying anything and letting the television run on about how 'Tragic' this event is, and that people need to cherish these last hours. Apparently, the Atomic bomb that has been sent over is strong enough to break the earth's crust, making bunker's useless aswell. The calamity trio cry, hugging each other. Eventually Sasha convinces them that crying won't do anything, and that they need to spend their last moment alive together and having fun. The other two agreed, and they all decided to go to bed. They cuddle each other and cry themselves to sleep, all having different dreams.
Chapter Three: Anne's Dream
Anne dreams about dying and becoming the new.. being she met after she originally died. She saw Sprig. She talks to Sprig and catches up with him, but when. he asks why they're there she realizes what's happened, and wakes up sweaty and nervous. She sees Marcy still asleep and Sasha. Sitting up, sobbing into her phone.
Chapter Four: Sasha's Dream
Sasha dreams about her parent's, reliving what happened to them less than 2 years ago. The overdose, the crash.. Everything. In vivid detail and.. as if she was a spectator in it all. Suddenly in her dream, A giant nuke casts a shadow above her, and she looks up at it, her eyes filling with tears. As it hits her and she closes her eyes, she wakes up. She sits up quickly, pinching herself. She grabbed her phone and opened messages, going into her mother and father's contacts. She messages them both, the messages inevitably not going through and just being sent to a machine. She starts crying.. And eventually, it becomes tears of joy because of Anne's soft and kind words.
Chapter Five: Marcy's Dream
Marcy dreams about her girlfriends, long ago cutting off contact with her parents, not caring enough to dream about them. She dreams of a picnic, her head resting on Sasha's stomach as Sasha rests her head on Anne's lap. She reaches for a cup of water but watches as it all falls out of the cup, but from the top. She's holding it up right but it falls.. into the sky. She sits up and looks at the other two, noticing them now laying fully down and their eyes rolled in the back of their heads. Marcy starts to sob and hugs them both tightly, and as she grabs their hands, making them all hold hands, she wakes up, crying. Anne and Sasha are sitting next to her, holding her hands and rubbing them gently. She starts crying, and the other two join.
Chapter six: The last day
They all get ready for the day and Sasha makes them pancakes for breakfast. They all go on a walk and notice how unusually empty everything is. Guess everyone stayed inside today. They go back home and watch their favorite movie: Frogvasion Animation. They all laugh at the inaccuracy of it all for one last time, going out for lunch afterwards. They eat at a local restaurant for burgers, the only thing open. They finish eating and go back home, deciding on playing board games for a while. Anne gets up and starts making dinner around 5, finishing it at 6 and then all of them eat it. They put the dishes in the sink and get into fancy dresses, turn on some music and dance around until 10. Anne looks at the time and notices it's ten, then everything stops.
Chapter Seven: The end.
They all go into the bedroom and sit on the bed, holding each other's hands and sobbing. They talk about Amphibia, their family's, everything they can. Then, Marcy checks the time. "I-It's 10:32 girls.." They all quiet down their sobbing and kiss each other. At 10:33pm, the windows start to dim and Marcy's breathing gets heavy. Anne and Sasha hug her and comfort her, rubbing her hands. "Hey Marcy?" Marcy looks up. "As the world caves in, and everything is ending, know that you'll always have us." Sasha and Anne smile, Marcy sobbing harder. "I love you both." She says. "We love you too, Mar-Mar" they both say. The window becomes pitch black and they hear an explosion. Anne quickly checks the time, and as everything goes black, and she dies for the last time, the clock reads 10:35pm.
Chapter Eight: The End. (Alternate Ending)
They all go into the bedroom and sit on the bed, holding each other's hands and sobbing. They talk about Amphibia, their family's, everything they can. Then, Marcy checks the time. "I-It's 10:32 girls.." They all quiet down their sobbing and kiss each other. At 10:33pm, the windows start to dim and Marcy's breathing gets heavy. Anne and Sasha hug her and comfort her, rubbing her hands. "Hey Marcy?" Marcy looks up. "As the world caves in, and everything is ending, know that you'll always have us." Sasha and Anne smile, Marcy sobbing harder. "I love you both." She says. "We love you too, Mar-Mar" they both say. They sit there for a minute, all the sobbing stopping and only calm breathing being able to be heard. "Time's going by slowly." Marcy says. Sasha nods and Anne opens her eyes. "Too slowly." She lifts her head up and looks at the clock. "Girls.. It's 10:38." They both lift their heads up, looking at the clock as well. "W-what..?" Anne pinches herself, making sure this isn't a dream. It isn't. They all looked at each other, tears rolling down their cheeks and as they all smiled, Anne whispered, "You will always, always have us."
