"Remember to say it good and clear girls. Who first?" Luna asked. They were traveling to diagon alley via the floo network. Newt volunteered to go first, so he took a handful of powder, stood in the fireplace and said "Diagon Alley!"
"Melissa you now." Neville said.
Soon, the whole Longbottom family found themselves in Diagon Alley, the wizarding shopping street. Here they met up with the Potter's and all the Weasley's.
"Roooose!" The twins shouted in unison as they saw their best friend, ran towards her and engulfed her in a giant hug.
"OMG so I cannot wait to start our first term!" Rose babbled. Soon all three girls were chatting and gossiping just like any best friends do when they haven't seen each other for 2 weeks.
"Come on girls, Luna, Hermione, and I are taking you to get your robes." Ginny said.
"I mean it is lovely seeing you so happy but we really don't have all day!" Hermione added. So the girls set of to get their robes fitted at Madame Malkins. When all three girls had their robes, the went to the owl shop.
"Mummm, please can I have this one?!" Aurora pleaded with her mum. She had spotted a beautiful snowy white owl and had fallen in love with it straight away.
The three mums shared a look that the girls didn't understand.
You see, Harry once had an owl, she was called Hedwig and looked exactly like the one that Aurora had just pointed out. Unfortunately Hedwig died.
"Umm, I suppose so, how much?" Luna asked. Aurora told her and they bought it. She was called Hetty. Melissa got a similar one to Aurora as they always had the same kind of taste but hers had big green eyes and was called Hattie, Rose said it kind of freaked her out a little and she went with a plain grey owl called Sooty because it looked like it had rolled in soot.
Once they had got the owls they went on to Olivander's to get wands. It took some time with Melissa, who went first to get her wand, but eventually she got a unicorn hair one, and Aurora got it's twin, which they thought was really cool!
When they had got their books and cauldrons and all that stuff, they went to the Leaky Cauldron where they met up with all the others.
The day was, to the girls disappointment, at last over, and everyone got ready to go home.
"TEXT ME!" Rose called to Aurora and Melissa as the families parted.
"WILL DO!" Melissa shouted back, and Aurora got her phone out, sent a text and called:
"DONE!!" which everyone laughed at.
A few hours later Melissa and Aurora were in bed on their phones, talking about what their first term at Hogwarts will be like...
