Jennie's POV

"It's almost 2pm, where is Seulgi unnie? Boss gonna eat us if we come late for meeting today." Jennie mumbled to herself and keep calling Seulgi. After a while she decided to drive herself to go to Seulgi's place. She's 100% that she's there since Seulgi not a fan of staying out unless with us. While driving, she keep mumbling to herself because she still can't reach Seulgi. "I will make sure to smack her head later. I have to pick her up, she's the one that my manager, and she knows I hate driving alone." Jennie said to herself and proceed to punch the door passcode.

When she entered the house, the house reeks of alcohol and some left food. And there she is, together with Lisa and Rosé, all of them still asleep on the bean bag. These idiots.. No wonder she's not answering, she's drunk with the another two idiots. She grab the pillow from the sofa and throw it to them but still no response. So she jump onto them to wake them up and it's working as they grunt feeling the pain, they deserved that Jennie thought. "Unnie, wake up, we have meeting with the boss today, we will be late if we're not going now."

As all that registered in her head, she wake up in a panic way and straight to her room, she knows that she's in trouble and she better to hurry up. While Seulgi preparing herself, Jennie have a lil chat with the drunken Chaelisa. "Why are you guys like this? Look at the mirror Rosie, your mascara stain scares me now, please clean that out." Jennie huff and shaking her head watching the state of her friends like that. "You only care about Chaeyoung, what about me then? You don't have anything to say to me or I need to fix my makeup?" Lisa sulk at Jennie. Jennie was taken aback a bit because Jisoo always called Rosé as Chaeyoung but decided to brush it off.

"Your face is not a problem, your brain is. Fix that, that's the most important. You're a grown up adult with a 10yo brain inside." Jennie retorted with a smile. That is how they banter with each other, it's just a normal day normal conversation for them. "You two need to clean up the mess, I'm going with Jennie now. Thank you in advance." Seulgi said to Chaelisa and rushing to pick all her stuffs without waiting for their response and grab Jennie's hand to drag her out from the house.

The ride was silent, Seulgi definitely rushing judging from her driving style. Jennie considered her a safe driver but not today. Occupational hazard that is she hates being late. "Jennie, first of all, I am sorry that we're going to be late because of me. We passed out last night. I will explain to sajang-nim." Seulgi trying to ease of the air a bit. "It's so not like you to drink like that. I can understand Lisa though, she used to drink a lot back then.. with her. If I can't find you at your place, I will straight away go to the police station to file a missing person. Not to say Rosie, she is the most reasonable person but there she was with her mascara stain all over her face." Jennie complaint and wrap herself with her arms.

Seulgi's POV

As Jennie looking outside of the mirror, her stare looks blank and Seulgi knows that she's thinking of Jisoo. She used to hold herself to mention Jisoo before, in any occasion, in any conversation because when she did, I always caught her with wet eyes. Now I can't help myself but to feel sorry to her, maybe she reminded of Jisoo because we always drink together back in the old days, and we don't stop until we dropped. Reckless but it's always fun with her.

As I look at my watch, we're late about an hour for the meeting. With guilty feeling, I knock on the door of the meeting room, but to my surprise there's only our sajang-nim there, he's going through something on his laptop with another hand supporting his chin. Based on my experience, that posture screaming mad. As we're standing there, didn't dare to take a sit yet and he didn't say anything or even look at us. As this is my fault so I decided to break the ice first. "Emm sajang-nim. I am sorry, we're late because of me, I.. was drunk last night. I promise it won't happen again." I said with a pleading tone.

Then he look up at us, now both of his hands supporting his chin. Not that I'm counting, it's exactly 5 seconds for him to say something which is telling us to sit and we immediately do that. "Drunk was your explanation and I won't ask more. Your face tell it all and you still have that hangover face. Remember that the safety of our artists is our priority and I won't tolerate anymore drunk excuses if anything bad happen." His words fit into my ears and going straight to my brain, SAVED.

"Just so you know that the upcoming debut of the new girl group, you will be very busy so I decided to hire a new manager but you will still have to assist her. And, my first impression of her was.. I don't know how to say this. Just imagine how would I feel when someone said this "Your artist are late, is this how thing works here?" My whole life, nobody ever said that to me, I feel humiliated, thanks to you two." He said with a calm tone but deep inside I bet that he's burning. That new manager must have a temper.

"So she will mainly manage the new girl group and I will assist her right?" I curiously ask. "I was thinking about that, but managing the new group won't be easy so I arrange her with Jennie. But if anything you two can swap and assist each other. From her resume, she have a good record with knowledges and martial arts. So you will get a manager plus a bodyguard." He replied.

"So I have nothing to say or to decide regarding this? Shouldn't you ask me first?" Jennie seems a bit uncomfortable with the idea since she's working with Seulgi for a long time and they're bestfriend since kid, they don't need to say something to understand each other. "I did but I changed my mind, you guys are late and I got humiliated today, so go with my suggestion first. You guys can go now, we can't proceed anything since she's not here, I just can't stand the silence after humiliation so I ask her to go home." He said, obviously he's upset at that.

"Name?" Jennie asked with a not friendly tone. You can feel she's a bit pissed off now. "Sooya. Her name is Sooya." Our sajang-nim said. After that me and Jennie go the cafeteria to get some ice coffee, we both need that right now, for hangover and for Jennie's mood. While sipping our coffee, suddenly Jennie grunt and I raise my eyebrow as if asking what's wrong. "I think the new manager is a bitch, I can't believe that she haven't started working yet she dare to say something like that our boss. I've been train myself to say those to our boss. Just imagine when they did something wrong and I'm the one that saying "Is this how thing works here?" to him? Your fault, you should say something to our boss, say anything, say that you can't live without me might works." She angrily said.

"Based on my position and boss's mood, I don't think that's possible. You know he hold grudge for quite a while. I'm sorry, it's my fault. I have a feeling that.. eehh I don't know, I can't think right now, stupid alcohol. Let's just wait and see okay?" I tried to calm Jennie down.
