New earth, 13 years before the 4th deployment.
Multiple gunshots can be heard on the distance, as fire engulfs a factory.
"I raised you. I loved you. I've given you weapons, taught you techniques, endowed you with knowledge. There is nothing more for me to give you. All that's left for you to take, is my life, by your own hand..... One must die, and the other must live. No victory, no defeat. The survivor will carry on the fight. It is our destiny... The one who survives will inherit the title of a true Legend. And the one who inherits the title will face an existence of endless battle."
Said a woman to a familiar individual. The artillerist....
"No." He replied with a worried look on his eyes.
"You're an AGENT! Finish your given task! Prove your loyalty! Fight me!"
The woman pulls out an L7A2 General Purpose Machine Gun.
The artillerist pulls out his revolver.
The woman fires at the artillerist.
He runs towards cover ducking his head on a tree while the woman approaches.
Someone he dears greatly but has to kill.
"Face me like a true legend!" She shouted as she sprints towards the tree.
The artillerist slides towards another as he continue to shoot his revolver at her.
Eventually she falls on the ground mortally injured.
As a cloud of ash shrouds the factory.
The artillerist walking up to her.
He aims his revolver at her head.
"Do it......" She mumbles before closing her eyes.
He pulls the trigger.
As he sheds a tear, walking away after completing his mission.
A loud echo can be heard.
Birds can be seen flying off on the distance after the echo.
That was all he could remember........

But I have to speak a note,
I was inspired by a certain story's writing style so I included it to the memory/backstory of the artillerist.
I was really going for a hivemind agent for my story.
But my friend who was an artillerist main told me he want to include his character in my story.
His characters lore, So I included it to the story.
