Tyra's P.o.V.
Saturday was chill. Jaylen and I just sat up watching movies and did our homework. We even watched my all time favorite movie, Love & Basketball. Ooo, the characters, Monica and Quincy are so real and relatable. I just love it. Anyways on with Sunday.
I squint open my eyes, adjusting to the sunlight peeking through the blinds and I check the time on my charging phone: 7:30.
"Jaylen wake up," I whisper-yell to Jaylen as he rolls over to face me.
"What Tyra?" he groggily asks.
"Get up. Remember ya mom said we going to church?"
"Oh yeah." He pops up outta the bed and heads into his bathroom.
"Hurry up," I yell before he slams the door.
Now, I didn't bring any church clothes cuz I don't go to church or be expected to go and I don't have any-I guess- "church appropriate clothes." Mrs. Summers said the stress and pain I'm going through will ease up once I get a Word from God. I'll trust her words.
I quickly change into clean underwear, a pair of dark blue denim jeggings, my turquoise PINK by Victoria's Secret cowl neck hoodie, and my black Converse lows. Jaylen busts through the door in the next five minutes in nothing but his grey Calvin Klein boxers and a white square neck tank top. I must admit, he looking real good in that with his tattoos glistening in the sunlight.
"Like what chu see?" Jaylen asks, catching me staring at him.
"What? Boy please, keep on dreaming." I get up and collect my bathroom things.
"C'mon Tyra, you ain't gotta front. I caught you fair and square. It's cool to admit it. I ain't gon' think any different of you," he says standing in his closet to find his outfit.
"Yeah, whatever Jaylen." I walk in, closing his bathroom door.
Jaylen's P.o.V.
I'm fine wit Tyra checking me out. It mean I'm growing on her. And plus, I didn't wanna feel like I was the only one checking her out cuz then it'd be real perverted.
After rifling through my jeans in my closet, I choose my faded blue denim joggers. I head over to my dresser and slip on a red Polo Ralph Lauren shirt. I tie up my red and gum colored Vans Authentics. A lil after 10 minutes in the bathroom, Tyra comes out.
"You good? Cuz I 'ont want no friction between us. I 'ont want you to feel uncomfortable." I walk over to her after she packed her bathroom bag up.
"I'm fine." She gives me a straight face and we crack up.
"'Aight cool. Well it's 7:52 now and we gotta be at church by 9, so yeah. . ."
"You go to church like that?" she asks scoping out my outfit.
"Yeah Tyra. My church real chill, why?"
"Cuz I thought in church you suppose to get all dressed up and stuff," she admits looking confused.
"Nah I saw you wearing that," I point to her outfit, "so I decided to go real chill like you." I sit down at the foot of my bed, turning on the TV to see the highlights from last night's Hawks game.
"Well I didn't know we were gonna go to church until I got here."
"Ok, that's fine. You look good though." I redirect my attention back to the TV.
