Author's Note: I'm sorry you guys for not updating for a year and a half. Last chapter was a cliffhanger because I was trying to write book 2 but my heart was into this story anymore. A reader reached out to me and asked for closure on this book and that's what I'm doing. Thank you all for the reads, votes and comments, and follows from my first story. I have more things in store.
Tyra's P.o.V.
1 year later. . .
It was the start of my freshman season at Duke University and I was the starring point guard. I decided against playing pro immediately after high school that way I have an education for a backup plan just in case going pro doesn't go as planned. I'm majoring in Sports Science.
So far my teammates are chill. One girl, a senior named Chantelle, can't stand me because I took her spot, but if I sit and worry about other b**ches liking me, I would be worried about the wrong thing, ya dig? Besides I gotta man to worry about.
Yup, Jaylen and I are still together and his brother isn't butting through. I didn't tell Jaylen about Jahlil's advances and I didn't plan on it. He went back to his college and I moved on with my life and so did Jaylen. He's playing ball at University of Kansas, majoring in Computer Science. Thank God it wasn't basic like Communications.
Somehow, Jaylen convinced me to go to police to avenge my brother's death. I told them everything I know about my the situation and my mother. They found her crumby, scruffy, dusty ass and locked her and her crew up. She was no longer looming over my head with that deal: she can rob us and if I tell Deon, she will kill him. Unfortunately, he caught her in the act, and her goons and him got in a scuffle and killed him, taking everything.
But, that's all over now. I have a game to play.
