Chapter 8 ~ Nearly caught:

Phone conversation ~

Brittany: Zac, honey, are you awake?

Zac: What's the time?

Brittany: 8 am.

Zac: *Jumps up* What!!!

Vanessa: *Wakes up* What?

Zac: *Points to the phone* Shh, it's Brittany.

Vanessa looked at him and stroked his back while he was on the phone.

Brittany: Baby, we are meeting my mom and dad in Italy tonight for dinner, are you packed?

Zac: That was tonight?

Brittany: Yeah, we planned it ages ago, we said we would visit my mom and dad in Italy.

Zac: But they were over here where we had dinner with them for my birthday.

Brittany: Yeah, and then they went back to Italy, and they've invited us over there to enjoy a family engagement party.

Zac: With Ava and Lucas?

Brittany: Yeah and bring Vanessa where she can look after them while we are having some time alone.

Zac: Uh, sure, what time is the flight?

Brittany: 5:00 pm.

Zac: Okay, I'll just have to get someone to cover me for the office and I'll have to ring Ava and Lucas's school.

Brittany: See you then.

Zac: Bye.

Zac put the phone down and put his hands in his hair to put it back in his quiff when he looked over at Vanessa smiling at him.

Vanessa: Morning handsome.

Zac: Morning, beautiful, you better get you and the kids packed where we are going to Italy to visit Brittany's family as they are having an engagement party, so don't forget to pack an evening gown something sexy.

Vanessa: *Strokes his arm* Can't we just stay in bed for a bit longer?

Zac: *Settles back down and pulls her close to him* 5 minutes, then I must ring their school.

Vanessa: Zac, how are we going to have our time the nights in Italy when your fiancée is around us?

Zac: We won't be able to, where she told me to bring you, so you can look after the kids while she can have me all to herself, I'm sorry, baby we will have to wait until we come home.

Vanessa: You're right, so I guess we should get up and pack as we need to tell Ava and Lucas that we are going to Italy.

As she got out of his embrace and Zac looked at her going into the en suite bathroom to get changed, he got out of bed and got dressed too he knocked on the door for Vanessa to know he went downstairs to start breakfast.

As he went downstairs to start breakfast, he could hear shouting coming from the stairs, as the shouting got louder it was coming towards the kitchen.

Zac: Ah, there's the monsters, I have some news for you after school we are going to fly to Italy where we are meeting Brittany's family for dinner in Italy, so you won't be in school after today.

Lucas: Do we have to go?

Ava: Is Vanessa coming with us?

Vanessa: *From behind* Of course, but first lets get breakfast eaten and then we can walk to you school.

As Ava and Lucas were eating their breakfast, Zac and Vanessa were whispering.

Zac: Are you mad at me? From this morning?
