Explanations and a New Normal

Tubbo stumbled into the bathroom. Sure, it was labelled 'Ladies, and King', but Luz had said it was fine for the trio to use at their leisure. He yawned and looked at himself in the mirror, hands brushing along his scars. He glared at himself, scrunching his nose at the incredibly dirty mirror.

"HI!" A familiar, annoying voice sounded, an owl face breaking through the window. Which, unsurprisingly, startled Tubbo.
"JEUS CHRIST-" He yelled as he punched the Owl? Tube? Bird? across the face, before realizing his mistake.

"Oh shit- Fuck- sorry.." Tubbo said, clenching on his own fists.

"Ow! Just wishing you a good morning! Hoot!" Hooty said, leaving the window. And Tubbo to look at his shaking hands. God, he was becoming more and more like-

"Hey, you okay? I heard Hooty yell." A voice said, knocking on the thick wooden door with concern.
"I- I'm fine, Luz. I'll be down in a second!" Tubbo said, still slightly shaking. Nervously, he corrected his posture and walked out of the bathroom, passing a few doors in the hallway. Ranboo and Tommy were still asleep, snoring away peacefully. He trotted downstairs, met with King asleep on the couch. Luz sitting by the coffee table, drawing strange engrams on square pieces of paper.

"What are these?" He asked, plopping down next to her as she finished one.

"These-" She said, pulling out a paper from one of the piles and tapping it with her finger. "are glyphs."

Tubbo watched in awe as the paper folded in on itself, changing to a ball of light.

"Cool, huh? I learned them a while back. Apparently they're the rawest form of magic from the titan, and you can mix them to make them do other effects." She said, making a small ice spike from another paper.

"Titan?"

"Oh yeah. Apparently, a long time ago, titans roamed this realm and eventually died. Their corpses became huge places of land, and made magic. The Boiling Isles is one of these places."

"So we're on a huge carcass?"
"Well when you put it like that-"

Tubbo snorted. Something in Luz's pocket vibrated, and she pulled out a yellow orb and looked at it, before smiling.

"What's that?"

"Oh, it's how I communicate with Amity! Wait, you don't know Amity, do you?"

Tubbo shook his head.

"Well, Amity is my... girlfriend." Luz said hesitantly.

"Wait, did you think I'd care who your dating? Did you forget I'm married to Ranboo? Plus, it doesn't define you as a person."

"Oh, not a lot of people thought like that.. And yeah, I guess I did." Luz muttered, sending a quick response to whoever Amity was.

"Say, actually, do you three want to meet my friends? I feel like you'd all get along well." Luz brought up, stacking her glyphs neatly and putting them into a sports' jackets' pockets.

"Hmmm... Depends. I'd want to bring up the idea to Toms and Ran... but yeah. Sure."
