Due to Briar's rough introduction to therapy and what came shortly before, any and all plans for his birthday in January had been put on hold. And oddly enough, he had been the most apologetic, knowing that his lovers had been planning something in the weeks prior only for it to have been for nothing. But he was also thankful because since starting therapy with his wonderful doctor, his mind had never felt so safe.
Now Briar could reflect in on himself, pick apart how he was feeling on any particular day and face the memories that sometimes surfaced without immediately becoming overwhelmed. He would then write about it in his online journal and at the end of the week (or during, if he needed an earlier appointment) he and Doctor Naomi went over what was written, how he got through the rough patches using the techniques learnt and what he was struggling with most. Starting therapy had always been a fear of his, worried he would be wasting the doctor's time or it came across as attention-seeking, but now he knew that it was the best thing he could have ever done.
"Are you sure you're feeling up to this today? We can always do it another time" Quinn asked, finishing his bowl of cereal.
Wanting to show just how good he was feeling, Briar leaned across the table and placed a kiss on the man's juicy lips, not at all minding the taste of sugary milk despite not liking cereal- or as he called it, cold, soggy soup.
"I'm sure. In fact, I'm curious to see what you've all been planning".
"Planning?" Quinn asked, pointing to himself then looking around. "Us? Planning? No idea what you're talking about".
That's why you've all been going silent when I walk in the room or changing the topic when I ask about doing something together...
"Hmhm, sure" Briar smirked and then carried his and the dominants dishware to the kitchen. Only, sitting on the very counter he wanted to place the dirty dishes was Jesse, their legs wrapped around Devon's waist while the man completely consumed their mouth, a firm hand gripping their jaw and holding it in place. Briar could see their tongues between them, the other submissive's laying lax as Devon took utter control of the kiss.
"Um, I guess you two don't want toast since you're filling up on each other for breakfast?" he asked innocently, Devon turning to look at him while the little fox took the opportunity to descend on their master's neck with gentle licks and nibbles.
"You look lovely, Briar" the dominant smiled slightly.
He blushed, tucking the few strands of loose hair behind his ears.
Today they were celebrating his twenty-fifth birthday despite it already having passed, and he wanted to make the most out of the day. Awakening early, he shaved and showered before sitting down with Jesse and having them help pick out some makeup. Nothing extreme or overly noticeable though- he still didn't know how his other lovers would react since this would be the first time they had seen him wearing something slightly feminine in nature.
"I don't look weird?" he questioned self-consciously, playing with the neckline of his long-sleeved, woolly cardigan. Subconsciously, his legs tried to cross and cover themselves, not used to wearing leggings around other people.
"Not at all".
The man seemed about to say something else when Jesse leaned over his shoulder, resting their chin on a loose fist.
"Turn around for a minute, Beauty? I think there's something on your back".
Doing as instructed, he expected one of the two to remove a label from the new clothing or some loose threads.
