Zoe's POV
I walk into the office of my new school, Westpoint High. I quietly observe the people walking past to go to their classes. I notice most of the girls here have bleached blonde hair and orange spray tans. I self-consciously tuck my blue and purple hair behind my ear and rub my pale arms. My new principal, Mrs. Harmon, opens the door and ushers me into her office. "Welcome to Westpoint High, I'm Mrs. Harmon. Here is your class list, I expect you to be on time to all your classes, I understand that you are new but that is no excuse to be late" she said as she nudged me out the door before I could say a word. I looked down at my list and sighed. There was no way I would be able to memorize all these class names, let alone remember where they are. Algebra, woodshop, American History, chemistry, choir, ceramics, speech, fiction-writing. God knows how I'll be able to memorize and pass all these classes. There was a loud beeping sound that blared throughout the school. "Shit" I muttered "I'm going to be late for chemistry" I wandered through the halls until I found room 418 just before the bell rang. I spotted an empty table in the back of the room and sat down. I quickly pulled my hair into a high ponytail and slipped on my goggles. There was a slight creak as the lab door opened and a tall boy with piercing green eyes and shaggy black hair walked into the room. His eyes swept over the class and then settled on me. I quickly lowered my eyes and opened my lab notebook. Suddenly a stack of books was set on the empty space beside me. The boy sat next to me and shyly brushed his bangs out of his face. "Hi, I'm Kyle. What's your name?' he asked in a not too deep, but not too high pitched voice that was perfect in every way. "Zoe" I said in a quiet voice. "What a lovely name, it suits your gorgeous ice blue eyes" Kyle said. I blushed a deep plum that spread all over my pale face. "There's some color on that pretty face of yours Snow White" Kyle said, grinning the cheekiest grin I have ever seen. "Snow White?" I said, shifting to face him. "Yeah. Snow White was a pale beauty just like you" Kyle responded. Oh God I'm melting so much I thought before I responded. "Are you like this with all the girls Kyle?" I asked. "Only the ones I find attractive" he whispers. I shivered at the sound of his voice. It was so smooth, so silky, so completely and perfectly tempting. I giggled slightly and packed up my stuff as the bell rang. I scurried to the bathroom and slipped into a stall. I pressed my back to the wall and let out a huge sigh. Had I done it again? I can only hope I didn't. If I did I would be completely and utterly screwed. I nudged up the sleeve of my light gray hoodie. I lightly ran my fingers over the scars that were left behind. I took in a sharp breath, left the bathroom and walked into my next class, ceramics. I slipped out of my hoodie, revealing my tight black skull tank top. People stared at me as I grabbed a lump of clay. Everyone assumed the script and swirls on my back was nothing but a tattoo. I agreed with them so I wouldn't have to say what they really were.
