Let's start off by saying that I am indeed a werewolf. One little snag to my fairy tale, is that I am considered a rogue until I find my mate.

Only women are rogues unless the male is exhiled from their packs. My birthday is tomorrow. I am nervous that I won't even like my mate. I honestly don't care, as long as I get taken out of the misery that is being a rogue.

It's now 11:59. As soon as it turns to 12:00 I will be able to find my mate.

The whole idea is scary. Thoughts about whether or not I will be able to tell if he is mine or not cross my head. Many other questions flood my head.

Such as "Will he be hot?"

"Is he a rogue too?" I so hope he isn't a criminal!

"What is his position in the pack?"

"Will he treat me right?"

"Will he reject me?"

That last one scared me more than the rest.

12:00

I shivered. I can't sleep thinking about how my mate is somewhere around. I decided to walk it off. I got up and went downstairs, only to find the lights on in the kitchen.

"Dad?" My dad is the Beta of the moon light pack. I will be able to join at the next blue moon, presuming I haven't found my mate.

He jumped. "Sorry daddy! I couldn't sleep. What's your excuse?"

"I can't sleep because I am mind linking the pack about today's meeting with the Eclipse pack and their Alpha."

I nodded my head in understanding. "Alpha Montreal?"

He nodded." Alpha Alejandro Montreal."

I started to wonder if he had a mate. If he didn't, I hope it wasn't me. Alpha Montreal is ruthless. If you stand in his way, he won't hesitate to exhile you, or worse, kill you. A women once refused to give up her teenager to his brother. She claimed she didn't want to give her baby girl to monster, mate or not. I wonder if his brother is worse?

"Kat! Are you listening?"

"Hmm?"

He sighed "I told you to go to bed, you have to come with me tomorrow. Alpha Montreal requested all the unmated, eligible females be brought to the meeting.

I nodded and walked upstairs with a fuzzy feeling in my stomach. I was nervous and hoped that I wasn't his mate. I don't think I could carry such a monsters child.

I landed face first onto my bed. I shot back up again and decided to pack up my bag, just in case this really was my last night here. After fitting all my favorite clothes into one suitcase, I fell face first into my bed, again. It's a habit of mine. I breathed in the sent of my bed and sighed. This might be my last time sleeping here.

I woke up and groaned "who turned on the lights?"

"Your father?" My dad was smiling with an eyebrow raised at me. "Did you forget that you have a meeting to attend in 39 minutes?"

I shot out of bed and shoved him out shutting the door.

"Love you too Kat!"

I smiled "yeah yeah! Love you too!"

I pulled out a black dress with a huge gap in the back. I showered quick and shaved. I used my favorite raspberry scented shampoo. When I got out, i decided to shave my shampoo in my bag too. It is my favorite. I dried my hair and curled my blonde waves. I added mascara and eyeliner to my sea blue eyes. I added a hint of red lipgloss to my plump pink lips.
