Chapter 1: Kittens

Misty's Point of View
Ash and I sat on a bench, just waiting for Snowfall. We planned a meeting on what to do together. I swung my legs back and forth, back and forth. Ash breathed on my shoulder, and I cringed at what happened yesterday (from Epilogue at previous adventure). Ash stroked my head with his paw. I had decided to live in CP for the rest of my life. Turns out, my friends didn't like being a cat girl so they missed out everything. Suddenly, my swollen belly stung in pain as I felt a hard kick. I gasped, the air knocked out of me. I grabbed my belly. Ash gasped in shock. "Is it...?!" he whispered, gently touching and rubbing my belly. I nodded in massive pain. "C'mon. We have to go!" he exclaimed, grabbing my paw and taking me to the local hospital, Catty Caring Hospital. I gasped as I felt a hard kick. When we got inside and Ash was talking to the doctor, I panted. A massive amount of pain was part of my stomach. Too much in pain, I fell to the floor with a thud. Three things kicked me from the inside. I gasped, and I saw two little bundles of fur slide out from my stomach. But I felt one kitten still in my stomach. After Ash and the doctor's little talk, my mate looked down. He screamed. He picked up the little kittens and stared at my stomach place. I was confused. What was he- Suddenly, I saw something that distracted my thoughts. I screamed. A kitten's face was poking right out of my stomach! I wanted to throw up, because I felt sick and dizzy. Why didn't I feel it? Wheezing and closing my eyes, I took the poor kitten's face and I slipped it out. I panted and got up. "Kittens," I panted. "Three of them. Three." Suddenly, the kitten I held went limp. I gasped, and held its little chest to my ear. I expected a heartbeat, but I didn't hear any. I was just about to drop the body. "D-d-dead," i stammered to Ash, my eyes watering with tears. "All dead." I felt numb all over. "Just a sec," Ash said. I looked at him while he licked the two surviving kittens the wrong way to warm them up. Then he stared right into my eyes. "Maybe we should call this, uh, passed away kitten Soul, because it's soul left its body," he told me. I nodded slowly. "Yeah."
