The bell for break has just been rung. Nikky stretched lazily as she closed her literature notebook.
Aramide walked into SS 2E with Aleve magazine in her hand. She walked towards Nikky's seat and sat on the seat beside her which was Faith's. Faith was not on seat and Henry had left the class earlier with Alfred but Nikky refused to follow them when they called her.
"A baby girl named Nikky."Aramide teased, smiling and shaking her shoulders dramatically. She and Aramide became best friends few weeks after she joined B.H.S.
"That's my name"Nikky blushed, flipping her braids stylishly.
"See as you fresh like today's bread" Aramide added, making Nikky to blush harder.
"What's popping" Nikky asked, sitting upright as she collected the fashion magazine from Aramide.
The front cover had Sameer's picture putting on a tan tux,his hair tousled and held a rose flower with his lips,the background was white and he was standing stylishly,it was an old edition.
"Nothing much, where's Henry... and Alfred?" Aramide asked, checking out for the boys.
"I don't know where they went to sef" Nikky answered.
"Aren't you hungry? Let's go for break." Aramide said and Nikky's face lit up with a smile.
"Who's buying?" Nikky asked,still smiling. Her number one love language is food.
"Wetin do your card." Aramide said and Nikky's smile morphed into a frown.
"Aramide can't you buy food for your best friend? How much food will I eat?"
"Let's just go"
"I know right..... isn't Sameer hot in this picture? I'm thinking of taking this shot for my birthday" tejiri said, leaning clos
"hot with a capital H. It's a good theme shaa. " Nikky replied,her eyes still glued to the front cover of the magazine.
Apart from being hot, he also stinks and reeks of money. His father,the CEO of Infinity ; Alhaji Hamza is the richest man in the country and even in Africa. Last year,he was ranked the world's 20th richest man. He is an automobile engineer and his trucks are widely exported across different countries and he also build cars.
His fore generations were said to be very wealthy and being born with a silver spoon is an understatement, diamond spoon is more suitable.
"Orr... okay"
Tejiri behaves more like a sissy than a guy and that's probably because he was born into the family of six girls. He's so cautious of his skin and beauty like a lady and he keeps more of girls as his friends. Although he dresses like a guy,he walks like a girl, always chewing gum with his lips, glossed nicely.
"I even painted my nails with nude polish"he said, stretching his hands so Nikky can see it.
"It's lovely,who filed your nails?" Nikky asked, inspecting his nails.
"Who else,me of course"
"Opoooor oo"Nikky hailed tejiri
Just then, Aramide hollered from the front of the class.
"Adenike Ogunbambi"
"Aramide Bamitefa" Nikky shouted too
"Tejiri let's go"Nikky turned to tejiri and they both left the class.
"Hello Tejiri"Aramide greeted as the three of them walked down the corridor.
"How are you"tejiri asked, not expecting an answer just his response to her greetings.
When they got to the front of SS 2A,the boys were just leaving for break too. There was Alfred, Henry, Bryan, Emeka, Malik, Mayowa and Sameer himself.
"Sameer welcome back to school,you should have just stayed in Bahamas."tejiri said and everyone laughed.
"And what did you even bring for us?" Nikky asked, playfully.
"Nothing, actually....." Sameer had not finished his statement when Nikky cut him short.
"Ehn, break bills on you" Nikky blurted. She didn't expect that it was going to be loud so she covered her mouth almost immediately as she said it.
Sameer raised his hands in surrender, smiling and all the boys hailed him. As they all walked to the cafeteria, Nikky felt uneasy about what happened earlier so she went close to Sameer and apologized.
"I'm sorry,I didn't mean..." It was Sameer's turn to cut her short.
"It's fine"he smiled and she smiled awkwardly too.
Everyone went to the counter to order their food themselves and Sameer paid with his card.
"Sameer spenddinnnggg" Henry teased,using his leg to adjust his chairs so he could sit properly. He sat on the same table with Malik, Sameer and Alfred.
"Guyyy, stop it" Sameer responded, hitting Henry lightly on his arm.
"God bless Nikky Amen" Malik said and the boys except Sameer chorused the Amen together. The boys ate and left the cafeteria once the break was over. Nikky and Alfred had music class so they left for the studio together. Alfred is one of the most talented person you'll come across; he plays piano well, saxophone and violin and he drums very well too. He's a very good artist too,he draws and paints like a pro. Alfred is actually a very cool guy,very quiet and cool headed but he's a bad boy.
A paper fell off Alfred's note as he opened it and it flew across Nikky's face.
"Oww" Nikky squealed as she reached for the paper.
"Sorry"Alfred apologized.
"It's fine"Nikky said, even though she didn't mean it.
"Did you do this yourself?" She added, taking a good look at the painting of the sunrise at dawn. The painting brought life to the drawing and it looked so real.
"Yea..."he said
"This is breathtaking..if I had seen it on my phone, I'll doubt that it's just a painting. You're too good" Nikky hyped Alfred, blowing him an imaginary kiss and he chuckled.
"Thank you" he replied, smiling as Nikky handed him the painting.
"Can I keep this?"she asked,still holding onto the painting.
"I'ld love to have you keep it but it's an assignment"
"Ooh" Nikky replied plainly.
"Can I see your other works?" Nikky requested, hoping he would say a yes as he turned her first request down.
"Sure,after music class" he said and Nikky gave him a cheeky smile.
