What if? (Spy x Family au, mostly on DamiAnya)

-A family without a spy (part 2)-

Hello again everyone! I'm so sorry part 2 took a while. I had to take my midterms last week and boy were they chaotic. But anyway, this chapter we'll get to see the real damianya moments. But I must warn you all that there are a lot of back and forth between povs. It might be confusing but it is so that we can understand the story better. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed how this chapter turned out!

Anya's pov:
Anya walked the eden grounds as I watched the sunset. Mama had to start work overtime because of  what has happened.... So Anya has to wait here in school for a little longer. As I strolled the garden near the dorms, Anya sat on a nearby bench to finish watching the sunset.
Luckily mama didn't give Anya back to the orphanage, but she has to work more because of me...

All this started because of papa, now that he's gone, what was next? Does Anya just live as a normal daughter of a widowed mama who's an assassin and has telepathic powers? Is Anya going to try and forget about world peace just because papa's gone? And am I just going to forget about papa, becky and...... I guess sy-on boy when I leave?

All this made Anya's head spin. She just wished papa's here right now. Then she heard footsteps coming her way. She leaped up with fright only to sit back down when she saw who it was.

Damian: Shrimp? What are you doing here so late?

Anya: Mama's starting to working overtime so she's picking me up late for now

Damian: Its not like I care or anything but, isn't your father also there? Why couldn't he pick you up?

Anya paused for a while before finally saying my phone response.

Anya: P-papa isn't here anymore.... He's something that people call, died in an accident

Damian pov:
Her father died?!? Maybe that's why she's leaving eden... Its not because of me....I sat at the bench next to her but obviously keeping my distance. Not having a father figure in your life anymore, sounds similar to...

Anya: Sy-on boy? What's your papa like?

Damian: Why should you know?

Anya: Anya just wants to know what your papa's like since you rich and all. He must be amazing since he gives you a lot

Of course... She's just like the others. Thinking that my family is amazing just because we're rich and famous. Only hiding under our facade of wealth and smiles. She has no idea what it's like hiding who we truly are.

Damian: He's an amazing father who's very loving! Happy?

I say this with a forced and fake smile. Of course this wasn't true. Father couldnt care less about me. The only time he's free is when he spends his time with Demetrius. That's the reason why I'm trying to study harder, for him to finally notice he has a second son...

After what I said, Anya just tilted her head to the side with a concerned face.

Anya: Sy-on boy, your lieing, aren't you?

Wait what? She knew? Shocked, I turned to her and our eyes met. Her eyes were like she could see right through me. But seeing her eyes made me hesitant. I'm definitely red now, I'm definitely red....

Anya: I know we're not close or anything, but Anya is willing to listen to Sy-on boy if your willing to talk

She's willing to listen? This girl is so...

Damian: Fine... The truth is my father only cares about my brother since he's an imperial scholar and all. I'm trying to do the same so he could notice me... But in the end, he only just cares about our family's success in life and not us in general.... Everyone only sees us for money and fame and nothing else. I just wish that-

Anya: That Sy-on boy doesn't have to be fake all the time? And for Sy-on boy to have a normal and happy family?

I paused after hearing that. It's like she understands what I'm going through. But she doesn't, she isn't like us whose always fake around people just because we're rich. At least she had a good and happy life...

Suddenly Anya stood up all of the sudden. She then turned to me and put her hands on her waist.

Anya: Anya might not know about the life of rich people, but what Anya knows is that everyone should have a family that is full of love. Everyone should experience a life full of fun and amazing people, including Sy-on boy!

Then she took my hands which instantly made me redder than I already am. As I turned up to her, her eyes we're shimmering like emeralds shimmering in the bright sun. What has this commoner done to me...

Anya: I'm sure that Sy-on boy's papa might have his reasons for ignoring him. But though Anya doesn't know, Anya's sure that Sy-on boy's papa will be proud of him anyway!

Damian: S-shrimp....

She knows father is still going to be proud of me even though she doesn't even know anything. She really is...

I then stood up as well and said in a deep voice.

Damian: What about you? Didn't you say your father passed away? Why are you acting like everything is ok?

Anya's pov

Heh... I've already been used to this... I've already watched my papa and mama die (her real parents). This is just the same to Anya...

Anya: I just don't wanna worry people on why I'm sad. Like you said, I'm just a commoner to all of you rich people. You all don't need to learn about Anya's life...

Like Sy-on boy, no one knows about Anya's life at all... It's all been a fake happy family from the start. I shouldn't be sad over a papa who just used me to help save the world. Yet, why does Anya feel down about all this...

I then felt tears on my eyes. Anya tried to stop them but they fell anyway. Anya didn't know why, but she wrapped herself around Damian which turned into a hug.

Third person's pov:

The little scion felt himself shaking when the pink haired girl wrapped herself around him. But he gave in to her comfort anyway and hugged back. He realized that even she didn't always have a happy life like him. Though he didn't know everything, he knew that her life wasn't perfect.

Same goes for the pink horned girl, she never knew that the scion who was just a rich bully in her eyes, go through so much pressure from his father and was just longing for family love and appreciation which she had.

Both went through so much pain in such a young age. But found what they needed at eden. Sure they were always bickering and fighting, but they both benefited and comforted one other from their own experiences.

As the moon finally uncovered itself from the sky, it shined down on the first year students who were still embracing each other for what looks like an eternity for them. Without even knowing it, a new emotion began to arise and develop in each one of them which would change their entire lives forever in the future.

I hope you all enjoyed how it turned out! I was kind of out of ideas so I just rushed this story's ending. Anyway this is probably going to be my usual uploading schedule so I hope you understand. It would also be great if you guys could also give ideas for my next stories since I probably might be busy to think of more. Anyway, I hope to see you all again in my next story, bye!
