"Where's Zhan at?" Yu Bin inquired when he saw Cao Yuchen walking in the cafe alone.

The Beta went to sit down besides him and shook his eyes, "Xiao Gege's not coming. He said he had assignments to do."

"Nah, I just think he's upset because his Shortcake's not coming." Li Bowen commented as he took a sip of his cappuccino.

"Nonsense, Xiao Gege would never miss an opportunity to have an Americano." Liu Haikuan crossed his arms as he looked at them while sitting on the opposite side.

"He met his Shortcake in the library.. but he was with someone else."

The others' ears perked as they waited for him to continue.

"Let's just say he was jealous."

The others then cracked a chuckle and Haikuan replied, "Tell me, is this someone else an Alpha?"

"Not really sure because I was standing far from him and couldn't pick up his scent." Yuchen shrugged.

Before the rest could say anything else, the bell at the door dinged, signaling someone was coming in. Haikuan was sitting in a place where he could see the door perfectly and his lips formed a smile as he saw the person coming in.

The person who just came in took a look around and spotted the Alpha before smiling and going over to him.

"Hope I'm not late." Wang Zhuocheng spoke with a smile.

"No, you're not. I ordered a mocha for you. Hope you don't mind that."

Zhuocheng chuckled, "It's fine."

He then looked to his left and saw the three people. He didn't even notice they were there and nervously smiled.

"Oh.. um.. hi?"

The other three smiled at him and also said their hellos before Haikuan told him to sit down, so Zhuocheng did. He said down beside the senior, very close to him too.

"You didn't tell me you would bring your friends here. I thought it was just the two of us!" Zhuocheng muttered as he lightly kicked the other's leg from the under the table.

Haikuan bit in a groan at the kick. Yeah, he kicked him lightly, but the heels of the sneaker still hurt.

"At least you didn't do anything embarrassing when you came here." The senior mumbled and Zhuocheng tried to control the urge of rolling his eyes.

"Why would I do anything embarrassing with you?"

"Well, you could've kissed me, but you didn't, so yeah."

Zhuocheng put a hand over his face, softly giggling at that. He was thinking of it.

"Shut up..."

Another kick to the leg and Haikuan shook his head, "That hurts. Since when did you get aggressive?"

"Since last night."

"That explains it. You threw a lot of pillows at me last night. I didn't even do anything wrong."

Zhuocheng snickered as he remembered that. Haikuan was saying random jokes when they were playing games together and the freshman laughed so hard at the other's stupid jokes that he lost the game. He maybe got a bit angry and threw pillows at him.

"At least I didn't throw shoes at you," Zhuocheng exclaimed, "Though that would've been a good idea."

"Hey!" Haikuan looked at him with a sad expression and the other softly smacked his arm, containing his laugh.
