A Small? Change of Routine (OMORI x Fem Reader)

Chapter 1: The prologue

(NAME): I think we all know at this point

[Welcome to White space]

[You have lived here for as long as you can remember]

OMORI opens his eyes, his residence, the familiar layout of the Whitespace greets him. The same layout he's always seen. The same layout that he's used to. He doesn't know when he got so used to the layout. He also doesn't know when he started to love the familiarity of Whitespace.

Next to him is his cat, MEWO. In her usual spot, he never saw her move from it, but he doesn't mind.

"Meow" (Waiting for something to happen?)

He doesn't waste time with MEWO, as he knows that's all she's gonna say. He moves on to look at his laptop but, knowing that what's on it isn't much of interest, decides not to look through it.

Like always, he checks his sketchbook, his sketches just as unsettling as he remembered. He closed the book as a familiar clang rings throughout Whitespace.

He knows what it is, so he doesn't question it.

He finds it in the same spot as always.

However, as much as he likes Whitespace and how everything is the same, he has to see his friends, and abandon the area he finds safe, even if it's done temporarily.

After picking up his knife, he lets one of the red hands grab him as he nears the door.

[A white door casts a faint shadow]

[What would you like to do?]

OMORI grabs the doorknob, but hesitating. He could just stay, they're playing cards, they could wait. Or not see him at all. They would definitely care, but he'd just come and see them another day.

But he decided to open it. He knew that he would have to at one point. Thats the door's entire reason. He also started to like the adventure he goes on, even if it's always the same thing.

And so,

He opened the white door.

And the story truly starts...
