Two Years Later-First day of School

At the Thayer-Stanley household, the triplets were now 4 and Mady was 3. Hannah, Aurora and Taylor were getting ready for their first day of pre-K. They, along with Delilah and Draco, were waiting on the sidewalk in front of their new school.

Tommy, Paul, Gene and Eric had brought Mady, Jason and Jenny along so they could go to breakfast afterwards.

"Gene, I think we're going to have a problem already." said Eric as he glanced over to the twins. He had noticed Delilah already in a disagreement with a boy twice her size. Apparently he had shoved Draco and was already bullying him. 

"YOU WEAVE MY BRUDDER ALONE! YOU UG'Y BONEHEAD!" yelled Delilah, getting in the boy's face. She had her fist balled up and was going to hit the kid when Gene picked her up and Eric took Draco.

From out of nowhere, the boy's father swung at Eric who took it square in the face. Blood went everywhere as kids started crying and parents moved out of the way.

The blood caused Jenny and Jason to start screaming as Taylor and Hannah put their hands over Aurora and Mady's ears. Signing to their deaf sisters they tried comforting them. Delilah jumped out of Gene's grasp and bit the man on the ankle. Draco immediately ran to Paul for comfort while Tommy went to Eric's aid.

The principal had rushed out as soon as the ruckus started to try and defuse the situation. Finally kids and parents were let in as the ambulance and police cars showed up. Gene stayed with Eric and their younger twins as Draco and Delilah were led in by Paul and Tommy. Aurora gripped Mady's hand tightly from Tommy's arms. Taylor and Hannah were luckily in the same room as Draco and Delilah. Aurora had also been placed there at Paul's insistence.

Tommy didn't like the whole situation from the beginning. He had wanted to put the girls in a smaller environment but lost the argument. Eric had miscarried eighteen months earlier so he was just now beginning to heal. The whole school thing made Tommy snappy and short-tempered. He had been moodier than usual lately so this situation had made it worse. After he said goodbye to the kids, he headed back outside without a word to Paul.

Eric had been taken to the hospital for x-rays so Gene had to cancel breakfast plans. Tommy offered to take the kids with he and Paul. Mady adored Jenny and Jason so she was delighted.

"Tom, are you okay?" asked Paul softly as they drove to IHOP. "I've noticed that you've been awfully quiet lately."

"I'm fine. " was all Paul got. He knew immediately that there was something going on. "Alright. We can go shopping afterwards, if you want." 

"Sure."

At IHOP, the five of them were led to a large table, the hostess telling the kids how much she loved their outfits. "Me brudder and sissy go to s'ool today. Me and sissy wear de same dwess." said Jenny proudly. Jay Jay and Dwaco wear de same s'irt! Mady sissies go too. De wear de same dwesses too. Dwaco me older brudder. Lilah me older sissy. Mady have twree sissies. Dey all older." Jenny happily chattered away while Jason(Jay Jay) just looked on. Mady had climbed into her chair and was waiting on her juice.

At school.......Taylor and Hannah had been seated across the room from each other. Taylor was in the back left while Hannah was at the right front. Draco was back right and Delilah left front. Poor Aurora was in the middle and terrified. The teacher refused to let anyone help her so she sat there until lunch too scared to move. Delilah marched down to the office and demanded to speak to the principal. He had to call Gene to come in.

"Why is their teacher refusing to let Aurora sit by one of her sisters or my twins?" "She's deaf! You were notified of this long before school started! Either fix the situation or move them to another room."

By the end of the day all five were moved to another classroom. Aurora was allowed to sit with Hannah and Taylor while Draco and Delilah were in the row in front.
