Questions

Ever since Tommy had slipped and told Paul he might be pregnant again, there were unanswered questions going through the singer's mind. (1) Was it an actuality or a false reading? (2) Was Tommy going to be scared all over again if it was true? (3) How long had Tommy known?

Paul decided to come out and ask if the pregnancy was confirmed and how far along Tommy was. "Tom, you mentioned that you might be pregnant again. Have you taken a test? Gone to the doctor's? Feeling okay?"

"Yes, I did say that. No, I haven't gone to the doctor's yet. I feel okay so far. I started to take one but I'm scared. Go with me."

"No, not while you take it. I will come in right after you take one though." "Do you have one?"

"I have several that I bought after Mady came. I'm scared though."

"If you are, we will get through this together. Now, go on and let's find out."

While Tommy used the bathroom, Paul waited. He wasn't sure how he felt about the possibility of becoming a father again. About five minutes later, he heard crying. "Tom, do you want me to come in?"

"Y-y-yes. I-I-m sorry!"

Paul went in to find Tommy holding the little stick and crying. "W-w-what if this one is---?"

"And what if he or she isn't?" "Let's get you calm and then we'll make a doctor's appointment. This time I'm going to pamper you the whole time."

"I know but I'm still scared."

Finally Tommy was asleep so Paul headed down to the kitchen to start dinner. He knew everyone liked pizza so he started making some. By the time he had them in the oven he had been joined by four hungry little girls and several stuffed animals.

Taylor and Hannah chatted away while signing to Aurora and Mady. They talked to Paul and their stuffed animals while "helping" Paul finish dinner.

"Daddy! Mama had 'nudder baby in tummy." said Hannah. "It be bornded in de sp'ing. We be out of sc'ool by den and can help." "Me and TayTay gibe de baby new toys."

Aurora somehow caught on to what was being said and signed it to Mady. The little girl started giggling. She made the sign of rocking a baby.
