Jin and I arrived at the EF's weekly meeting. Jin wanted to check out the teams and asked me to accompany him, so of course I did.

I looked around and there were a lot of promising wizards. They looked strong.

Everyone stared at us, more specifically, at Jin.

"It seems the news of your high magic level has spread rather quickly." I commented.

"I guess it did." Jin said.

"Why don't you take a look around? I'm going to the cafeteria, I heard from Ren that they have some good stuff in there." I told him.

"Ok. I'll meet you there when I'm done." Jin said.

"Take your time. And call me when you need me." I said before leaving.

I bought ramen noodles and some peach soda.

I sat at a table outside, far away from everyone to be alone. I opened the package and used my water magic to cook the noodles. I filled up the cup and heated up the water to a boil.

As I took a sip of my noodles, my water magic alerted me of someone nearing.

During the day, I let my dark magic out in a wide perimeter that alerts me if it senses a moving shadow. At night, I do the same with my water magic, but instead of shadows, it senses vibrations on the surface.

I let it go, thinking it was just someone passing by, but got annoyed when they started heading my way.

"Hey, are you new or what?" A guy asked.

"Yes. Is there a reason as to why you asked?" I asked.

"Yeah, that's my seat, so move." He ordered.

"Really? I don't see your name here." I said.

Something cold brushed past me then towards the table. Ice covered the table and spelled a name. His name, I'm guessing.

"Hmm, I don't feel like it. I'm very comfortable in my spot." I told him, ignoring his threatening glare.

"I didn't ask. Move." He ordered again.

"I will," I sighed but didn't move. "Once I finish my food and drink."

The guy was clearly agitated by my stubbornness. He extended his hand out towards me as he glowed in a very light blue, almost white.

"Leave. Now." He threatened.

I didn't respond as I had food in my mouth.

A small ice spike was pointed at me as a threat, but I wasn't bothered by it.

"Go ahead, it'll melt." I said before taking a gulp of my drink.

"Tch. It'll take strong fire magic to melt my ice, and from what I heard, you're not that strong." He chuckled. "Level 1, pathetic. Wizards like you are a joke."

"So you already heard about me, wow. And here I thought Jin had all of the attention." I had a cocky smirk. "Go ahead. Try it." I said.
