Raising Power

Chapter 7

3rd POV

"Hmm... Still low, but I guess I could give you a D mission." The administration guy told Y/n.

"I'll take it, as long as it's not a chore." She said.

"Don't worry, this one is a little more fun. You'll be on guarding duty." He said.

Y/n's eyes started shining despite her face remaining calm.

"Who are we guarding? Is it a president of some sort? A royal member? Or a rich business person?" She questioned.

The administration man laughed and shook his head. He gave her the paper with her mission's orders.

"You'll see." He grinned.

Y/n's left eye was twitching as she had a chicken landing on her head. But less than a second Jin threw water at it to scare it away.

"This is our mission?" Hoseok questioned in disappointment.

"That old man..." Y/n started cursing at the administration man in her mind.

Their mission was to guard a chicken farm. According the owner, a wolf has been killing the chickens. He wanted BTS to kill it when it appears for another kill.

"Aw, it's not that bad." Seo-Ah bent down and grabbed a little chick. "They're so cute!"

Jin squads down to take a closer look at a chicken. The chicken started clucking and going wild. Jin flinched away from the chicken but it started following him. Jin started running away from the chicken, occasionally hiding behind people until he reached Y/n.

"Y/n!" He called for help.

Y/n sighed as she trapped the chicken in a small water bubble. The chicken was still angry and started picking at the bubble.

"Those things are not cute!" Jin exclaimed angrily.

Seo-Ah giggled and Hoseok laughed. Y/n cleared her throat as she hid her smile for Jin's sake.

"Keep your eyes open, that wolf can come whenever it's hungry." Y/n told everyone.

They all stood guard near the chicken. Y/n occasionally took strolls around to check for any wolves near by. She didn't bother using her magic for such a simple task. No one did actually.

While they were waiting, they've made some short conversation.

"Anything on Yoongi?" Jin asked, clearly annoyed. He hated that Y/n wanted him on the team, but he knew she wanted his high leveled magic to beat the other teams.

"No, but I'm sure I will hear from him soon." Y/n said.

"Yoongi? As in Min Yoongi?" Seo-Ah asked.

"Know him?" Y/n asked.

"Everyone does. Both him and Kim Namjoon are pretty popular because of their high magic level. There aren't many 8s at the EF, so they're well known." She explained. "Did you scout them?"
