Chapter Eight: The battle of starcourt

Rue ran off to a food stand and grabbed a knife, burning it over the stove then washed her hands, placing gloves on them right after before grabbing the knife and a wooden spoon. "Okay, Jonathan, Place this in her mouth. You wanna bite real hard this is gonna hurt like hell, okay?" El nodded and Jonathan put the wooden spoon between her teeth. Rue started cutting her leg, El screaming and making glass shatter. Rue stuck her fingers in the wound and tried to grab it as Danny and Nancy called her name and told her to stop. "I can do it!" El held her hand up and screamed, pulling the slimy beast from her leg. She launched it and when it tried to crawl away, a bloody converse shoe stepped on it.
"How's it going, shitheads?"

Max ran to Angel, sobbing into her shirt as Angel pet her head, whispering sweet nothings into her ears to calm her down, Hopper helped El up and huddled up with his kids, telling them what a trip he's been on, Joyce checked on her son's and the rest of the kids.
"Yoohoo! Yoohoo!" Murray shouted, waving papers above his head.

The group huddled up for a final time, explaining the plan until Danny brang something up. "You're working for them, aren't you?" He said, pointing at Angel. All eyes were on her. "What? No!" "What's he talking about?" Hopper asked. "She's got one of those uniforms. She knows these people!" Danny said, walking up to his sister and pushing her. "Hey! Alright calm down!" Hopper started, "He's lying, right?" Angel looked away and sighed, "That man that's been chasing us, he's my uncle. I had to be around him in Ukraine thats all!" "Oh don't even bullshit! You weren't even in Ukraine!" Danny shouted, nobody daring to intervene with this family matter. "Look can we talk about this later? I," she picked up an AK-47, "Am going to kill thay son of a bitch, okay?" She grabbed the walkie talkie and map of the base and walked off, Hopper and Max running to her to stop her. "Look kid, We're going down there with you. The rest of you will go to Murray's house in Illinois and you, Dustin, " He tossed Dustin a walkie talkie, "will radio us. Here Danny." He tossed Danny the keys. Everyone started to leave but Max wouldn't let go of Angel. "Please come back to me?" "I promise."

The scoops troop headed out first. "Ohh screw Todd, Danny's her Daddy now!"

The Griswold family piled into Nancy's car, but it wouldn't start. They got out to check what was wrong with it and Jonathan said the starter cable was missing. Off in the distance, Billy Hargrove and Alex Hargrove sat in Billy's car, revving the engine.

"Everyone in the Mall!"

Angel sighed, not wanting to look at her father or Rue, but Rue placed her hand on her shoulder. "Y'know i love you, right? Don't listen to Danny. Just cause this guys your uncle doesn't mean its your fault hes doing this stuff." Angel looked up finally, smiling. The elevator doors opened, guards holding their guns up. "Wait! I've come with orders from the commander!" Murray shouted.
"What commander?" The guards questioned. "Reznov. Commander Reznov." Angel stepped up "Name?" "Angel Reznov, first division?" The guards gasped, holding their guns up ready to fire but Rue and Hopper were already blasting them. "I had it under control Jim!" Murray shouted.

After the Griswold family tipped over the car that El had threw, something caught Max's attention. "Mike?" She said, the boy looking at her then up, "Nancy!!" He shouted, his sister looking at him before the mind flayer broke into the mall throught the roof.

The scoops troop drove down a road, arguing about if they believed Suzie was real. "Right! Right!" Dustin shouted,Danny hitting a left quickly and going up a hill. "We're not gonna make it!" Robin shouted, "Yes we will!" The car didnt make it. "Told you." Everyone jumped out and headed to the radio, Dustin calling for Bald Eagle.
"Yes I'm here, I'll radio if i need you so for now, radio silence."
