The nice, gentle breeze blowed graciously through the area. The golden, pumpkin and cherry colored leaves flew from their branches to the ground slowly. The wind would occasionally blow them from the ground and last you as you walked through the woods. It was peaceful, hearing the crows and other nature sounds on your walk.

The autumn evening was calming, perfect for some hot chocolate or tea. It was definitely the perfect night for Halloween, even if it was weeks away from actually getting to the holiday. The sun was slowly falling from the sky, the sky starting to slowly change colors to compliment the painted trees around you.

Stepping over a fallen log, the flap of a familiar sound was heard near the destination of your travel. You smiled a little, happy to hear the winged skeleton before you could see him. Nearing the clearing, you finally saw the ledge of the cliff and the skeleton staring off towards the falling sun.

You moved a bit closer, stuffing your hands in your pockets as a cold wind blew toward you. "Dream!" You called, causing the peculiar skeleton to turn his head to look at you over his wing. He turned his head back towards the sunset, clasping his hands together behind his back.

"Didn't I tell you to call me Swad?" He spoke nonchalantly. His flexed his wings put a bit, spreading them slightly as more wind blew towards you both. The sun shined against his golden appearance, almost as if he was glowing.

"Yeah," you said sitting on the tree stump you had claimed as your chair so many times before on these visits. "But I like how I'm the only one you let call you that any more."

"You're very ignorant." Swad said without turning his gaze. The angelic halo upon his head didn't quite hide the look of his eyes. His eyes always had a look of malicious intent, something always stirring in that skull of his. However, over the years you've known him, you had noticed how that look seems to change from one of plot to one of slight relaxation. You saw it much more than others.

You gave him a smile, placing your hands on either side of you down on the trunk below you. "So I've heard," you said light heartedly, though with a hint of tease that made Swad glance toward you. "How have you been? You've been gone a lot longer this time than the other times."

Swad didn't say anything for a moment, seemingly thinking about how to respond. You often noticed how when the skeleton did that, his wings would twitch ever so slightly. Not too much, but noticeable enough for you to know it wasn't the wind blowing around the both of you. The silence was filled with the whistling of the wind and the sound of leaves falling and dragging against the ground.

"I've been busy with work," he said in a 'as I've told you several times before' tone. Which, yes, he had, but you were curious what the 'work' he did was. You never got the answer to that, though. "A very long conflict had come up. It's been dealt with now."

You adjusted your placement on your stump, not really knowing where to put your hands or legs. "Well, it would be nice to have a heads-up next time." You said lightheartedly, moving your head towards the sunset in the distance.
