Lizzie POV
I don't care who you like Jo, so long as we both can agree Satan's long gone forever
That's what I said. God, I'm an idiot. I don't care. Really? Why couldn't I have just told Josie the truth. Oh wait. You know why you didn;t want to tell her, All along this infatuation with Hope has been able to be a wonderful little dream, inside your jacked up head and the moment anyone breathes a word of it that beautiful idealism will come crashing down.
Well, now it's too late and the girl of your dreams is going to get with your sister. Eventually. Even though I've had my eye on her longer, Jos technically called dibs last night so in sibling court, I've got nothing.
All that's left for me to do now is wallow in my bed. Sad, desperate, and lonely. This is what Hope Mikaelson has done to me.
Josie POV
I barrel down the halls, discreetly searching for Hope. Okaaay, maybe not too discreetly, but it's the thought that counts, right? Maybe she'll call it charming. I'm turning into the last hallway when SLAM! I run into somebody. Luckily for me, it's just the person I was looking for. Making sure my hair looks just right (thank you, magic) I turn to Hope, "Ohmygosh Hope! I'm so sorry! How can I make it up to you?" Standing up smoothly, I turn to help Hope up too, but she's already up.
"Don't worry 'bout it. Have you seen Lizzie?" Ouch. Okay, that's a touch demotivating. Nothing like the ol' sister to wear ya down. I decide to reroute to a different train of thought. Obviously, Hope wasn't going to initiate anything, guess it's all up to me.
"How about I take you out for a milkshake as an apology?" This takes Hope by surprise. Apparently, I hadn't been as obvious as I thought.
"Oh, um ya know that sounds awesome but I promised Lizzie we'd hang out later and seriously, no harm no foul but maybe some other time?" Hope tries with a smile. No. This wouldn't do. How come Lizzie spends so much time with Hope anyways. Although to be fair them hanging out today was probably already planned before Josie dropped her love bomb.
"I'm sure Lizzie will be fine! She was already talking about canceling with you anyways, apparently she;s swamped with school right now." Please please pleeeasse work.
And it does. Yes!
3rd Person POV
Hope & Josie are sitting at a table at the milkshake place, sharing a basket of fries, laughing when they both start to dip the fries in the shakes agreeing, 'it's just so good!' it's going even better than Josie could've hoped for it to be, which is why she asks hope to walk her back to the Salvador school. Hope, to Josies anticipation, agrees.
Walking back they have a ton more fun, making each other laugh, tickling each other, and as the school comes into sight, they even start to hold hands. Josie's beaming. There is something wrong though. An itch maybe. Throughout the whole walking its sorta been lingering but once she grabs ahold of Hope's hand it intensifies tenfold. That's when she figures it out. "Lizzie!" Josie exclaims. "What?" Hope asks from next to her. "Somethings wrong! We gotta go find her right now! Twin feeling!" Without second guessing it Hope turns around & while still holding Josie's hand until their path is suddenly blocked off by a large green pile of goo, with somehow 90% of it defying gravity.
It's a long & tortuous fight, with green slime (which they found out was highly toxic once Hope hit it) leaving hope with multiple burn scars all ranging from 1st to 3rd degree. Nothing Mikaelson healing powers couldn't solve though. Hope eventually uses her brain enough to start using a weapon & at that point it's just a stamina game. Something that Josie would be lying if she said didn;t turn her on. Watching Hope pummel anything was always something she found incredibly attractive, but to add to that fact she's indirectly protecting her is playing into WAY to many of Josie's past fantasies. She;s being zero help, stuck in her own world when once the monster scurries away she still just stands there. She doesn;t even breathe until finally Hope rushes over to her & starts checking her vitals, looking for scratches making sure she's okay. All it does is make her heart swell more.
----------
The pair finally make their way into the library where the rest of the supersquad is waiting for them books out & several pairs of reading glasses prepared. They were in for an unpleasantly long night. After spending a couple of minutes describing the monster, (Mostly hopes doing. for some reason Josie can't remember much, almost as if somebody's been distracting her. Nothing new.) They then split off into groups scouring every corner of the library for every sliver of information attempting to put it all together in a cohesive narrative. After almost 3 hours and 2 strike attempts (it didn;t work they don't get paid anyway and Hope likes working alone) they are still close to nothing. It's unheard of for them to be just unsuccessful. If their previous attempts had all had strokes of luck, this one was completely lackluster of it. Right when it was needed. Of course.
Half of the gang is almost asleep when the monster comes barging into the room, not even thinking to knock. How rude. It heads straight toward Josie, & she's nothing to protect herself other than close her eyes & not move. Surprisingly, it works. Too late though, does she realize that was only because she was not the intended target. As if its in slow motion Josie watches as the monster not only knocks out hope, but with a sudden boost of speed also runs away with Lizzie. OH SHIT. How did this happen? All Josie wanted was a date, for goodness sake!Authors Note
Hey, it's been a while and I'm sorry for that but I really felt like I lost motivation to write for a while. I knew what I wanted to say but to get those words on this page seemed like such a hassle. After a while I felt like coming back with only one update was sad, so TA-DAH! Here were 5+! I don't know when I'll update again. It'll probably be before the end of the year, but idrk. What I do now, is that I hope to see you then!
