I was afraid, that is certain.
Terrified to ask the question.
Even if everything feels uncertain.
Yet, there was no confession.
I want to stay by your side.
Don't want to lose what we have,
but this feeling can't hide-
the thing we call love.
But if I asked, would you want me?
to be someone who's always by your side.
Would you date me?
Putting the label on and setting things right.
If I ask, will you tell me to stay?
Hold my hand and hug me tight.
Keep me and don't let me stray.
If only I asked, things might turn alright.
