There's no color better to Jay than blue.  It's not just because he's the blue ninja.  No.  It's because it was also Nya's favorite color.

The first question he ever asked the girl who would become the love of her life was if she liked blue.  Granted, he couldn't really speak at that moment.  Luckily, Zane was right there and understood what he said and translated the question to Nya.  When she said that it was her favorite color, he knew that they were meant for each other.

They did have their ups and downs in their relationship.  The love triangle was definitely a down, but that just showed them that they needed a break to reevaluate things.  Nadakhan helped them to really reconsider their relationship and made it stronger than ever.  They were meant for each other.  There was no denying that.

Lightning and water.  Two elements that normally wouldn't go together go perfectly when it comes to them.  They proved that with the hybrid dragon they created.

Jay knows Nya is always there when he needs her since they got back together.  He knows this, yet sometimes, he just doesn't feel like he can talk to her about what's bothering him.  He knows it's irrational, but he just doesn't want to bother her with his issues all the time.  He was too clingy the first time they dated and he didn't want to be that clingy again.

He was currently sitting outside in the training yard late at night.  They had just gotten back from Prime Empire and Jay couldn't sleep.  He knows that he really should, but he can't help but think about the lengths that Unagami went through because he was abandoned by his creator.  Could he potentially go off the deep end when he finds out the truth about his birth parents?  Could he go to extreme lengths like Unagami did?

He really shouldn't be thinking this.  He's better than that.  He wouldn't do what Unagami did, right?

He could hear someone walk outside and sit right down next to him.  He knew who it was.  He didn't need to look up to know.

"Why aren't you in bed?" Nya asked him.

Jay shook his head.  "Couldn't sleep," he responded.

"You should be sleeping.  Out of any of us, you were the one who looked the most exhausted when we got back."

"I know, but you know how hard it is to sleep sometimes after battles."

"Yeah."  Jay felt Nya's head lower onto his shoulder.  It was comforting to know that she was right there.  They sat there in silence for a few minutes before Nya spoke again.  "Do you want to talk about it?"

Jay sighed.  He didn't want to burden her with his problems, but he also knew that she won't give up until he tells her.  "It's just...me and Unagami are so similar and I don't know.  I just don't want to go through the lengths that he did if I don't like the reason that they abandoned me."

"You won't, Jay," Nya quickly cut in.  "I'm sure they had a good reason.  You were just a baby when it happened.  They couldn't have put the blame on you.  There are lots of possible reasons why they gave you up.  Don't think the worst."

"There's so much I don't know about my biological family.  At least all of you got a chance to know your biological families.  My birth father is dead and I have no idea what happened to my birth mother."  Jay knew that there were tears streaming down his face, but he didn't really care.

"We'll figure it out."

Jay cut Nya off.  "But I don't even know if I want to know.  I've debated it in my head so many times, but I'm still not sure that I want to know the truth."  They spent a couple more minutes in silence.  Jay knew Nya was at a loss for words after what he said.  He knew he shouldn't be complaining about this to Nya or any other member of the team since they all had terrible childhoods while he had a great childhood.  He just didn't know he was adopted until more recently.

Nya finally spoke again.  "I don't know what it feels like to find out something like this."

"But your parents disappeared," Jay tried to reason.  His goal wasn't to make Nya feel bad.

"But that's not the same," Nya said.  "Yes, my parents disappeared and I didn't know if they were dead or alive, but your parents left you with another family and you had no idea that you weren't with your biological family.  It's ok to be upset about this.  You don't need to tell yourself that the rest of us have it worse when it comes to our families."  She knows him so well.

"Thank you, Nya."

"Of course.  You can always talk to me when something is wrong.  Never forget that."

"I won't."

Nya grabbed Jay's hand and started to pull him up.

"Where are we going?" Jay asked.

"Your room," Nya responded.  "You need to get some sleep and I'll stay with you tonight."

"Won't Kai be upset?"

"We're yin and yang.  He can live."

Jay let Nya guide him to his own bedroom.  He's lucky to have a girl name Nya.  And he's happy that they share the same favorite color.  Blue.
