broken marriage: diana and charles

chapter 9: for good

diana's pov:
he was calling for camilla.
I thought that was the night.
The night that everything would change.
The night that we became unbreakable.
William was asleep in his bedroom and i was in mine crying myself to sleep.
I finally dozed off and was able to get a few hours worth of sleep but i woke up in the middle of the night with such... such anger.
i burned the flowers charles got me and one by one ripped the pictures of us into shreds and threw them in the fire pit.
and went back to bed.
You felt something pulling on your sheets it was wills.
"mama what's wrong" he said with a sad face
"nothing wills, cmere" you pat the bed and he gets on.
you fall asleep with him in your arms.

charles pov:
honestly i wanted it to work out for a second.
i'm glad i called for camilla and messed our chances up because it brought me back to my senses, i love camilla not diana. What was i thinking?
your pick up the telephone and ring camilla.
"yes hello" she says on the other line
"hello my dear" you say "meet me in car today at 11:30. it will be parked outside of the high grove garden."
"and diana won't see us even though she lives there?"
"i'll take care of that darling, don't you worry"
"right, see you then" she hangs up

camilla's pov:
i don't know if i should actually show up. I want to stop hurting the princess but my love for Charles is too strong. Besides she was super unwelcoming and uninviting. What i did. was horrible... well um what i'm doing is horrible so i don't really blame her. I throw on makeup and cute outfit for Charles, i mean why else would he invite me to his car? i drive to the high grove residence but stay a few blocks back so her highness doesn't spot my car. i walk the rest of the way and finally see charles in his car
i open the door to the passenger seat and get in. he kisses me on the lips as a greeting and says "i want you to divorce your lover"
i was shocked
"what?" i asked
"i want to marry you, but in order to do this you need to be a divorcee" he says explaining his reasoning this time
"charles i...i mean... we can't
"and why is that"
"because you have a beautiful wife and a handsome son and i have a husband and two children" i respond
"then you need to promise me i'm the only one for you" he says
you kiss him passionately on the lips
"hopefully that fulfills that" you continue on "i should go charles"
your about to leave but he says
"i'm done with diana..for good"
